MCE demo and non default fsx aircraft

Featured Replies

I have the MCE demo and UA DC9, the copilot will respond to voice and run checklists. However he wont actually flip any switches. Is this a limitation of the demo or a issue on my end?

Hi,

The only officially supported DC9 is the CoolSky DC-9 classic. Support will be added for CoolSky MD80 soon.

Non-supported aircraft are interfaced via the generic FSX interface. You might get the FO to dial radios, transponder, NAV, ADF, move the gear, flaps, brakes and trims but don't expect much to happen on the overhead panel, until we do a custom interfacing for that bird.

Here is the CoolSky DC-9 implementation

If we are talking about the same aircraft, go to FSX installation folder and make sure you have a folder called \MCE dlls\.

There should be a particular dll that interfaces the DC9. It's called "mcmddc9X.dll" and should be version 1.0.2.1

If running P3D, be aware MCE unless you start MCE after the aircraft is loaded, it doesn't automatically switch aircraft when you do so in the sim. Wait until DC9 is loaded, then right-click MCE UI and select re-detect current aircraft from the drop down menu.

If it's a different DC9 we're talking about, what do you mean by UA DC-9?

Thanks

So I narrowed the issue to ensuring the box wax checked in Windows 7 stating all users can run MCE with admin privileges. I dont have multiple users accounts so I only checked the run as admin box. However once I checked the admin for all it worked as advertised. Purchased this evening waiting on my activation reply. Thanks for the response though.
