Cargo doors wont open from cold and dark

Had this issue last night, where pressing open cargo door aft and fwd in the FMC nothing happens. I started with cold and dark cockpit. Bulk cargo door opened when pressed in the FMC. GSX kept beeping to open the doors :P Doors opened when started the panel state from long startup. Am I doing something wrong? I also checked the intro manual.
