November 13, 200421 yr I have Richard Probst's 727 panel using it in the La Vegas Air 727. Everything is perfect except for the overhead view [shift 7]. The panel is black but all of the switch's and such light up and work. I remember the panel being visible the very first time I tried it but nothing since.....Any help would be greatly appreciated.
November 15, 200421 yr Cntl-numpad 5, release the 5 last. There's also an icon available here for download if you would rather use that.
November 15, 200421 yr Hey Richard, thanks. The panel I'm having the problem with is the Shift+7 panel. The one with all the hydraulics and such. Mainly the Yaw Dampner is the switch I need the most often. Thanks Again:Scott AKA Catalinaflyer
November 16, 200421 yr I'm not sure which files your asking about but there are three that I used in conjunction with Mike Stones plane. I have FS2002PRO and have no idea if any of this will work in COF. Richards Panel file name is rp727pn4.zip and it alone, for a lack of better words, is totally awesome. Truly "As Real As It Gets" then to go with it I have Charles Fox's package cf727fd2.zip package which gives you a choice of six different weight configurations and again adds even more realistic dynamics to the 727. Last just for eye candy I use the 727smoke.zip as suggested in Richards installation instructions to give a true to life "Smoky" takeoff just like the RW birds.I have almost 3,000 hrs in RW 727's and Richard and Charles have come as close as I can ever see possible in re-creating a desktop simulation that immerses one so accurately without spending $12M on a full motion simulator (that you can't even use to check you e-mail or play a hand of solitaire).
November 23, 200421 yr Thanks a lot, I don't have time in the real bird but I did get typed in the 737 in a -200 sim a year ago and Rich and the crew at www.tinmouse.org have produced a very nice free 737-200 package that is darn near identical to the -200 sim I did my training and checkride in, the guy does nice work and we get to use it for free.
November 23, 200421 yr Is anyone else getting a CTD when loading the Erick Cantu 727 with this panel? I am in FS2004. I have the V4 panel loaded and crash to desktop every time after selecting to fly it. Any ideas to start with? Thanks in advance,Trevor
November 23, 200421 yr I'm having trouble even getting the Autopilot to work with the beast. It seems the panel isn't compatible, or specific aspects aren't compatible with FS2004. When I bring up the panel with the AP controls on it, it doesn't even show up. Anyone else's ideas?Allan
November 23, 200421 yr Me tooSome days ago I remember a fix was uploaded to the library to make autopilot work with the panel in FS2004. The author's name is Enrique Rueda. Filename is rp727fs2004_bugfix.zip and its for the V3 of the panel. I havent tried it yet though.
November 24, 200421 yr Well, I tried it on V3, and it works, but the problem still remains with the V4 panel. I guess the real problem is finding out what to change in the .cfg file for the panel. I'm no panel expert either. :-( I guess our only hope is for someone knowledgeable in this to help figure this out. Until then, I guess we'll have to fly without Autopilot which sucks, but there's no other alternative for V4.Allan
November 24, 200421 yr An extra space found its way into the panel.cfg which prevents the autopilot from being displayed. Change that and you should then be able to see the autopilot in all its glory:-) The original line under [Window3] was:gauge00=Rp727_2!ap ,0 ,197, 400, 103The new line should be:gauge00=Rp727_2!ap,0 ,197, 400, 103
November 24, 200421 yr You guys are making me jealous! All I still get are CTD's loading the panel.Any ideas?? I really want to get it loaded up.Trevor
