Small issue with payload?

Featured Replies

First of all, I have to say that I am really enjoying the plane so far. Once again I am amazed by quality of the product. However, standing at the gate and playing around with the fuel and payload, I noticed something strange. When I load and unload fuel, I noticed that the plane sank down and rose with each respective action. I tried the same with the payload and got a different result. When loading, the plane started to rise while unloading made the plane sink. I don't know if this is supposed to be this way or not but I figured I would mention it anyways.

Keep up the excellent work,

So I'm not sure if you're familiar with the concept, but gravity has a certain effect on mass.  It pulls mass down.  When there's less to pull down, whatever is carrying that mass sags less.  Ever see a person with too much crap in the trunk of their car?  The back end of the car looks like it's dragging because of all the weight.

Same thing...

Exactly. But unloading means removing mass which means less sag. The opposite seems to be happening. However, the car analogy might explain the reason for this. The mass in the back of the plane makes the plane tilt upwards at the front.

Yeah.  It's an exaggerated FSX quirk, too, I think.
