September 7, 201312 yr I just had the same issue. FLEXNET service stopped responding had to 3 finger salute to close FSX as it just froze in place right in the middle of a flight. Mine is also set on manual. Also had the Event 7036 same as you Jim. Never had this happen with the NGX. Sean Green
