Early-days LINDA MCP Combo2 module for VRinsight

Featured Replies

It's available in the Linda section here on AVSIM.  A nifty module for the brand-new joy from PMDG - The Boeing 777-200LRX. This plug in gives you instant and immediate connectivity between the VRinsight MCP Combo II (Boeing) hardware multi-function panel (EFIS/MCP/COMMS) and the Triple 7.  Thus you can simply rotate the HDG knob and see instantly the change on your Virtual Cockpit window to match the display on your MCP Combo Unit.  Rotate the Baro knob, and you can change your altimeter, other switches for all the important tasks, like LOCalizer APProach (ILS)  V/S (vertical speed) and so on... in a word, this is a wonderful and quite useful software programming effort if you use Linda and if you own the hardware panel from VRinsight.

It's not 100% finished, but the EFIS and most of the main functions on the MCP Combo II (Boeing) panel work well.  A real game changer for those who aren't crazy about mousing around the control panel.  Thanks to Artem Crum and Guenter (Guenselli) for the swift and generous production of this much-needed module.  Don't forget to donate to them if you find LINDA to be a huge help.  By doing the hard work for us, they make flying the new T7 more enjoyable and produce faster and more accurate flows when flying it single seat without a software FO.

I found that having those key controls at my fingertips with the new plane made me much more efficient and I was able to do an overall better job of coordinating tasks and 'staying ahead of the aircraft'.  Many thanks to Guenter and to Artem!
