Flickering Cars in DX10?

Featured Replies

When I go to top down view or any outside view the car texture flickers around on the screen.

I tried using DX10 Shader Fixers V3.2.2 from the AVSIM libray but the issue still happens.

My specs:

CPU: 1.86GHz/2 CPU

Graphic Card: Nvidia Geforce GT 610

Memory: 3 GB

Did you delete the Shader10 folder after installing the DX10 Shader Fix?

There will still be some flickering going on but in many places it has been totally eliminated or reduced.  The DX10 Preview fix does not fix all problems and the developer is in the process of fixing more issues.  Just hang in there.  If the problem does not go away or is a major issue, then you can simply go back to DX9 by unchecking the DX10 Preview setting in the FSX Settings.  We are all hoping things like this will be fixed some day soon.

There is no support for DX10 Preview.  The Microsoft Development team called it a Preview as the code could not be finalized in time for the release of Acceleration/SP2 and they wanted to get that product released on time.  They were hoping to do more work on DX10 coding but Microsoft released the team before it could be completed.  We are all at the mercy of Steve who is the author of the DX10 Shader Fix 3.2.2.  According to PaulJ here in the DX10 Forum, he has fixed a lot of anomalies but development and testing are still in progress.

Best regards,

Jim
