FFX 737 Experimental???

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. I do not know what I am doing wrong but I cannot get ATC to recognise any FFX 737. I have changed the aircraft.cfg to standard FS2004 settings and still it comes in as experimental. I have checked the.air files and this is correct. So what on earth do I do to get ATC to recognise the plane?ThanksJohn

Hi John. Assuming FS2004 is unchanged from FS2002, I believe the error is in the "General" section of the aircraft.cfg file. That section should have entries that read:atc_type=Boeing (this is often listed as BOEING AIRCRAFT)atc_model=B734There are various entries for the atc_model of a 737 (B732, B734, B739...). No matter what you enter, ATC will simply refer to the model as "737".Hope I guessed right on this.Regards,JerryH

Hi JerryChecked the .cfg file and the section you mentioned was completely blank.I was under the impression that ATC read from the flitsim.xx file itself for the type so I have learnt something new today! Many thanks for your help JerryJohn
