September 9, 201312 yr sorry my poor English. Good PCI sound card is necessary for FSX? In comparison with onboard sound, PCI sound card can increase FPS of FSX? And am I able to feel the difference? I am now using PCI sound card but it's cheap and 30$ not sound blast card.. I suffer from 777's intermittent freeze. And the moments is when some sound events happen. ex) freeze at touch down - and many touch down effects sound plays at that moment. I think about sound blast Z. The price is around 135 US dollar.(in Korea) Will this help to prevent the freeze?

September 9, 201312 yr Dogang, despite all the internet opinion, the latest Soundblaster cards are quite good. No guarantee it will improve FPS, but you will find it's quite a good idea to have a good sound card. I'm into making music on PC, so I picked up the top of the line SB card for the I/O (and because I can't justify an RME Hammerfall...), and it's been very reliable and has a lot of functionality built in. You might want to study your sound settings in Windows before buying, though; sometimes, the problems are just the result of configuration. Are you on Windows 7 or 8? Steven
September 9, 201312 yr Okay then it's less likely to be a configuration option. Win8 sound config is too clever by half.
