November 17, 200421 yr HelloI`ve been thinking of asking this for awhile but with the release of SkyWorld2004 I think it` time to ask.I`d like to ask the community to to ask the great folks at Avsim to provide for a forum section for all the great works that have come from the most selfless group of simmers that I know.Their contributions are legion and know no other group that is more deserving. Now I know that there will be plenty of support questions but once in awhile there will be a post (once in a lifetime screenshot) that will really show how much Chris has added to our FS experience and show FSW how much they are appreciated.Thank YouTroy
November 17, 200421 yr I second what Ken had to say. All Chris has to do is ask. We would open him and his group a forum in a heartbeat. :)
November 18, 200421 yr Hi All,Not against any of this, but FYI, Chris and FSW do have a Forum over at SimFlight and he is a mod. over there!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

November 18, 200421 yr LOL, yes you are! Moreso it was infromation for Troy! Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
November 18, 200421 yr HiWhy make Chris/FSW ask??That was my whole point,I guess it could be considered an Honorific and could you think of a better canidate.Think of it as a sort of peace prize of Flightsim.I say just build it and they will come Tom!!!!Thank YouTroy
November 18, 200421 yr JimThanks for the headsup on their forum.I was`nt aware they were represented in such a manner.I see Chris posting here often and seeing the contributions that he and his group have made over the years as an honorific of a little corner of Avsim is in my opinion is indeed be warranted.Thank YouTroy
November 18, 200421 yr Troy, we don't typically open a forum for an individual or group unless they ask. Given that he has a forum elsewhere, opening one here without any discussion between us would be presumptious on our part.
November 19, 200421 yr I too am very appreciative of the wonderful FSW products: they are probably the only thing that kept my previous, rather old system running FS9 at all.So I'm not debating whether or not (should that be weather or not?) FSW warrants a separate forum. However, as a matter of principle, I'm not altogether in favour of fragmenting forums into ever smaller chunks. One of the beauties of browsing the main forum is that from time to time I come across things which prove to be of value even though I wasn't looking for them and in fact had no idea they even existed.I know it's a trade-off against easy access to specialist subjects, but I like a good, wide ranging general forum.
November 19, 200421 yr We have opened a support forum for FSW:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=219
