Processor Scheduling for FSX

I've been having problems with my mouse lagging and it was suggested to turn Processor Scheduling Priority to background services (i.e. mouse) instead of applications. Wouldn't this have a negative effect on FSX? 

Edit: I have FSX running at a higher priority. Maybe this would override the processor scheduling for just FSX but still allow the mouse to have more resources? Hoping...
