November 19, 200421 yr Good Ol' Ariane for ya. (Flame me all you want.)Check in your FS's aircraft folder, and make sure a folder for the aircraft is actually there. Theres also something else you should check, but It's not coming to my mind right now and I cannot check as I am not at home.Good Luck! :)
November 19, 200421 yr They just mailed me and told that one of the files that I downloaded had some missing parts and it is now replaced with a new one. So I will download the new one now and hope that the problem will be solved.Niclas
November 19, 200421 yr Sorry folks an observation on my part.I'm generally a fence sitter and a bigger lurker, but I observe that Ariane have taken (based on the gaps between the original poster's post and their next) just over 2 hours to respond to a support email. In my book that's not a bad response time.
November 19, 200421 yr ummm, just observing that it was a 2 hour gap from the time the poster posted, not when he sent the email. The 2 could be close, but as I say, just an observation....billg
November 19, 200421 yr Bill,A good and valid point.Perhaps the original poster can enlighten us what the actual timescales involved were please?
November 19, 200421 yr Author Well, I think I always get rapid responses from Ariane. With all kinds of questions and requests. Even though I haven't bought anything since the 737-500 was released. Right now I'm waiting for the livery expansionpack for the 600Ng that will be uploaded tonight. Then I will purchase the 600Ng VCe basepack with the Sas livery. Rune B.
November 19, 200421 yr Just a general thought. When I can't get aircraft to show up in the menu, it's usually related to a name mismatch, where the .air file specified in the aircraft.cfg doesn't match the name of the .air file itself. They both have to match. The same holds true for the name spec'd model.cfg and the name of the mdl file.I'm not familiar with Ariane's current install routine, so I'm not much help there. But if you're seeing the aircraft folder and all the files look like they are there, check what I suggest above.-John
November 20, 200421 yr Hello SAS407I read your post concerning Ariane 737-600 NG VCE. I too have the plane and couldn't see it. I made the following changes:1. Look in de model folder of the aircraft. There you have the .mdl file and the model.cfg file.2. open the model .cfg file, There you can see the following: [flightsim] with under that the name of the airplane.3. change [flightsim] into [model]4. The text below [model], change it into the name of the .mdl. It has to be the exact same name otherwise it will not work.I did it like that and it worked! Good luck!Have a nice flight!Trapegeer
November 20, 200421 yr It seems that some text was missing in my previous reply:2. open the model.cfg , you can see [flightsim], change that to [model]. Under that you see the name of the plane. change that name into the exact name that is marked on the .mdl file.close itI hope that al the text is on the topic now!!greetings,Trapegeer
November 20, 200421 yr Daimn, Last try,2. Open model.cfg, you see between brakets flightsim, change it into model, also between brakets. Under that change the name of the plane into the name of the .mdl file. close it and normally it will work.Good luck!!Trapegeer
November 20, 200421 yr Author Downloaded, installed, and everything works great. The aircrafts shows up under the plain Boeing section. You know that? Rune B.
