  4. Same here FlyingScampi. I just grabbed a VPN package that had a good reputation (Nord) but it set me back £98 for 2 year bundle. Apparently the best value. It’s cost me a lot of money as I bought the Aviators edition.
  5. Whilst downloading my Apple Watch suddenly alerted me to the fact that my heart beats per minute (BPM) hit 129. Back to normal now whilst on 12% VFS packages. Exciting times.
  6. Just an FYI As I've noticed some people have been able to pre install this from the Microsoft store I thought I'd see if this was available to me. Once I got into the store I was indeed able to proceed with an install. However the install path was C:\Xbox games this time round. Having previously owned MSFS 2020 on media I notice that this is a different default install path this time. It was supposedly a 50GB install which strangely took less than 30 seconds (I'm currently on a 40mbit broadband connection. Soon to be 1gbit next week). Upon examination of the Xbox folder sure enough a Microsoft Flight Simulator folder had been created containing 2.10 GB of data. Below this folder was a content folder and 6 files of various sizes the largest being 66mb. I guess it makes sense for everyone who has preordered to be able to preinstall prior to the launch in order to reduce the rush to install on the day itself. I'm hoping I'll simply be able to launch MSFS 2024 on the day. Cheers all Terry
  7. My apologies Dillon. The discord post made reference to “inside out” cameras which I thought meant the external cameras on the headset. Not the Lighthouse fitted headset. I ‘m sorry if I mislead you because of my incorrect interpretation.
  8. That’ll be it. How’s the ambient light in your room. I know I’ve yet to make this suggested change but I saw a comment on the Pimax discord where someone said you need to allow the tracking cameras be visible by turning them on in Window? it’s not something I’ve even thought about but I’ll check tomorrow (I’m in the UK). Cheers Terry
  9. Hi Dillon, Another Crystal light user here. My understanding is that eye tracking is not available on the Pimax Crystal Light. is it something other than eye tracking you’re referring too? I’m not trying to be smart but just want to help out if I can. Cheers Terry
  10. I agree Roland, seems almost contradictory.
  11. I'm aware that there are some of us that are not Discord fans and may not have seen this FAQ on the BeyondATC Discord site.. It contains some useful information and whilst it doesn't provide a price point it does explain how the chargiing mechanism will work. How much will BeyondATC cost? Our pricing model is still being determined, but at present we expect to sell BeyondATC for a base price which will include the full program and time for both Premium and Standard voice models. Each time a voice is generated using BeyondATC, time is used up from your voice total. If you need to top up your voice time, we will sell additional voice time in packages. We do this because the voice services being used cost money per request, and as such we cannot provide this as an ongoing free service. At present, it is NOT planned to sell BeyondATC as a subscription service. Which sims will BeyondATC support? BeyondATC will be available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 & 2024 Will BeyondATC require an active internet connection? Yes, our voices use cloud-based technology and require an active connection to work. I'm new to Flight Sim, is BeyondATC for me? We're aiming to make BeyondATC accessible to seasoned pilots and newcomers alike. When will BeyondATC be released? With the addition of controlling aircraft, the scope of BeyondATC has expanded. As such, we are hoping for a 2024 release. Can I join the BeyondATC beta? Thanks for your interest in joining the beta! Our applications are now closed, but if we need more testers we'll be sure to let you know in our announcements section. Will BeyondATC support IFR and VFR flights? Yes! Will BeyondATC support Simbrief integration and Navigraph? Yes, we aim to make flight planning as easy as possible using BeyondATC so you can not worry about setup and get to flying. Will BeyondATC support dynamic SID and STAR selection? Yes, we pick the appropriate runways, SIDS and STARs based on the weather at the airports you're flying from and to. I hope this provides some useful information for those of us looking to purchase this. Cheers Terry

Hi There,Only living 2 miles South East of Gatwick I can tell you that there were also 27 knot gusting winds, so based on the explanation given that'll also explain why the rudders has all be blown in the direction of the wind.Well that's my theory anyway :-)Take Care
  13. Joined the compuserve forum in 1995 and still remember Ray Proudfoot and Pete Dowson's valuable contribution way back then.always remember finding Avsim back in 1998 when I worked in IT for a global bank. It was my lunchtime treat to read the pages of Avsim before getting back to another hard day's work.
  14. I notice that on the front page of Avsim there is a comment referring to the Trident as being the answer to the Boeing 727.Is this true or accurate? All of the information I've been able to find so far has indicated the HS121 (Trident) came first. The HS121 website http://www.hs121.org/ indicates this as does Dave Maltby's site http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/hs121_trident_history.htmBoeing say that the 727 rolled out on November 27 1962 (http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/727.html) whilst Dave Maltby's site states that the Trident first flew on January 1962.Can anyone confirm or refute what I've researched and come up with?

Davre,I see you're also talking about the memory on the graphics card not RAM.Talking of RAM though, 256mb really isn't enough. It's very cheap to buy now so I'd go for at least 1gb.As far as the graphics card is concerned I would have thought that 256mb is the top end of memory to be found on graphic cards quantity wise so I'm surprised to hear about the stutters.Again, I'll probably find myself suggesting something you've already tried but.............Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your graphics card?Try that if you haven't. If you're still getting the stutters then I'd consider getting more RAM as I suggested. Also try defragging your hard disk if you haven't done so that may help too.In reference to your earlier question I found limiting the visibility permanently helped with the framerates and stutters and I did this by using FSUIPC.

Dave,The quick fix to speed up loading was to untick the extended terrain box under settings/display/scenery. I then typically set my visibility to around 20-30 miles.I hope this helps.
