Violent pitch changes on take-off and landing?

Featured Replies

Is anyone else seeing  a violent pitch-down effect when taking off or landing?

For example, I'll make a perfectly smooth landing on the mains and then a split second later the nosegear has touched down. On take off, the same thing happens and I basically have to rotate a second time. I've only seen this with the T7 so far.

If what you're referring to is when the aircraft seems to just 'reset' and put the nose-wheel back on the runway during rotation it is either because

1) You're tail striking (the most likely scenario)

or

2) You're switching views during rotation and have your mesh set higher than 19m, which can cause the aircraft to bounce (and will reset the positive attitude back to 0)

Failing that, it could be an FSUIPC conflict. Either way, what you need to do is have the FCTL page open during takeoff/landing and see what is going on with the trim/elevators.

Thanks, I'll try lowering my mesh setting. I don't think it's a tailstrike because it doesn't produce an EICAS warning.
