Can't save flights

Featured Replies

Every 6 months or so FS gets a little screwy and I have to delete the FS9 cfg and start a fresh one. However now that I have done this I can't save any flights. this is a real pain when I'm designing scenery since I have to reload then go to the airport I was working on rather than saving where I want to be.Any Ideas????BrianPS I also have the patch installed

Hi Brian,Make a copy of your fs9.cfg. Open fs9.cfg, search for [uSERINTERFACE] and then SITUATION=. Is there anything after the equals sign? If not, when you start the flight simulator it should default to the default flight in the drive:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Flightsother folder labelled FLTSIM.FLT.If there is data after the equals sign, then it should be pointing to your My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files.FLT.If you moved your My Documents folder from its normal installation location, it can cause FS2004 to NOT save flights. You could try making a new folder:For Win2K/XP:drive:Documents and SettingsMy DocumentsFlight Simulator Files were drive is the diskdrive containing Windows and is the current user's name. For Win98/ME:C:My DocumentsFlight Simulator FilesThe FS9.1 Update causes a problem with saving flights, especially the default flight. Try saving the flight from within the flight simulator vice saving the flight from the flight simulator main menu.W. Sieffert
