November 22, 200421 yr When using the top-down view, can anyone tell me why is it that when you are zoomed pretty close to your aircraft you may see yourself heading one way and then when you zoom out by a few factors it will show that you are heading in a totally different direction. What I mean is that when you are fairly closely soomed in you may see the screen scrolling from top to bottom but then when you zoom out , the screen maybe scrolling from left to right or right to left. Thank you.
November 22, 200421 yr The simulator is coded to display North at the top at the wider top down zoom settings. At the narrower zoom levels you can select North at the top OR direction aircraft is faceing at the top.
November 22, 200421 yr You can change the orientation. Select Top-Down view (CTRL-S), select Views, View Options, Map Orientation, select a different orientation. Whether this will stay for the next flight simulator session, I don't know.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
