November 22, 200421 yr I've been merrily removing bgl's as per the directions but noticing that some of the bgl's that he refers to are not present, to be removed, in the folders NAMC, MAMW etc. Will this make a difference? Thanks,Adam
November 22, 200421 yr Each bgl contains data for roads within a region - failure to move those bgls will result in duplication of roads with ms defaults, that's all. Any bgls that are not there may have been backed up by installation of USARoads or FSG's american data, or been moved if you installed holger's cascades scenery. In general, Joel's lists were pretty accurate, as I recall. Also, you should be backing those bgls up by moving them to a folder outside of namc/scenery not just deleting them...save you alot of headache later...Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
November 22, 200421 yr you may have missing bgl's because you (or some automatic installer) removed them earlier for some other scenery. if you use stuff like toronto vfr or any of holger's canadian packages, you would end up with roads in triplicate by now, if you had not removed those bgl's before (that's why i had to pass on joel's roads, conflicting with my toronto :-( )edit: oops, scott already explained it above...
