Need some scenery help!!!!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

Hi all - I need some help in the Washington State area around Whibley Airport (WA10). I just noticed that all my lakes are square and my rivers are made of square water textures. The only scenery that I have loaded in that area is the US_WA_NC.zip by Holger Sandmann, the rest of the Cascade Mountains that the scenery covers have no problems. Any ideas on a fix for this? Thanks for any help on this one I am at a loss. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and replaced the default polygon and vector scenery files.

Howdy, sounds like a missing HP9*.bgl file from FS9scenerynamwscenery.I tried to find WA10 but the one I have with that ICAO is in Wyoming. Can you tell me the coordinates of the airfield and prehaps attach a screenshot (top-down) of how the area looks like on your system?Cheers, Holger

Hi Holger - thanks for the response. The correct name is Whidbey (W10) and the coodinates are 48-01-05.337N , 122-26-18.524W Unfortunately I am at work and cannot post a screen shot right now. The problem occurs for about 5 miles south of W10 to about 10 miles north, and about 3 miles east and west. The problem as best as I can describe it is that all the lakes are square, and the river shorelines are zigzags, it looks like the rivers are made of square tiles and the tiles are covering up the land and hiding the real shoreline. Thanks for your help with this, much appreciated!!!

Howdy,I just checked and don't see any problems around W10. Can you check whether my North Cascades scenery package contains the file 0_HP915140_edit_WA.bgl? It contains the water/land distribution of the Whidbey Island area and (partially) replaces the default HP915140.bgl in your FS9scenerynamwscenery.Cheers, Holger

Hi HogerMy sincere apologies, I went back last night and traced all the installation steps per your instructions and finally realized that I had somehow skipped the most obvious step - activating the scenery in FS. It was kind of a good thing because I found two other sceneries that I had forgotten to activate. All is well now - I do apologize for taking your time up on this. Thanks again for your help.Richard
