March 24, 201511 yr Commercial Member i will allow the GRIB Validity Period to be specified down to 1 hour. For now, after you land you can delete the GRIB.dat and Prev_GRIB.dat files in your \OpusFSI\GRIB folder and then update the weather. You should find fresh GRIB data is downloaded. I will also see if I can factor in the specified GRIB Validity Period into the Reuse GRIB process whilst airborne. That way you can decide how often you want fresh GRIB forecast data to be downloaded and decoded, even whilst in flight. That may have to be optional as well. Useful for long haulers but best done on the ground for other flyers. I will see if I can implement this in the next 4.49.0 beta. I have just about finished adding an Export GRIB Data option to allow third party flight planners access to the current world-wide GRIB data. I will implement the above for this same beta. Stephen :-) The above has been edited.
March 24, 201511 yr Commercial Member The above is now work in progress (see Coming Soon). The changes in the next beta should allow you to decide how often the GRIB data is refreshed and whether in flight or just on the ground. I think that will cover all possibilities. I have also made a note to have another look at possible other Degrib options and formats to see if the Decoding process can be speeded up. Stephen :-)
