September 18, 201312 yr Hi All I wonder if someone could help me with a problem I'm having entering flight plans into the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended. I have the same AIRAC cycle in my FSBuild and the Airbus, but when I try and enter flightplans the quick way by using the airways, I often get the "NOT ALLOWED" message in the FMC (sorry, Boeing term I know...MCDU possibly?!). But then when I manually enter each waypoint, it has no trouble with the waypoints. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I would say pretty much every flightplan so far, there's been at least one airway/waypoint combo that throws the NOT ALLOWED message up, and I have to do it the "long way". I have a sneaking suspicion that it is caused where one or more of the waypoints on a given airway/waypoint combo that you try and enter has more than one waypoint of that name around the world, but that's just a hunch. It seems like it can't allow you to enter the plan using airways if one of the waypoints has more than one around the world as it doesn't know which one you are want, though presumably in the real aircraft, it would know that only one was part of that given airway? Thanks
September 18, 201312 yr Froogle has a nice tutorial video that also shows how to enter flight plans in the AXE: Regards, Tom
September 18, 201312 yr Author Froogle has a nice tutorial video that also shows how to enter flight plans in the AXE: Thanks Tom - but this unfortunately doesn't come across the problem I'm having. I know how to enter the flightplan, but if you look at about 10:20 onwards on this video, where he is entering new waypoints via airways, occasionally I will enter a waypoint and airway and get the "NOT ALLOWED" message. From quick testing this seems to happen where there is a waypoint somewhere along your waypoint/airway combination which has more than one entry, as waypoint "SAM" does in this tutorial.
September 18, 201312 yr Hmmm, the AXE can use both Navigraph and Navdata Pro navigation databases. Did you switch to Navigraph in the AirbusX configurator? In any case, Aerosoft has a dedicated support forum where you can ask the developers directly. Regards, Tom

Yeah, I used the AIRAC cycle that I have in FSBuild and the NGX so it was all in sync, though it happened before I changed too. Yeah I will ask over there, but thought i'd check here first in case it was a common thing!
