September 23, 201312 yr Howdy! I'm currently thinking about upgrading my computer to where it will play FSX without lagging around the DFW/LAX/JFK area using payware aircraft, and put a fairly good amount of AI traffic but I just need some help of which motherboard and CPU and some extra stuff to pick out. Right now computer specs are: Corsair CX600M power supply. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/CX+Series+Modular+CX600M+600W+ATX+Power+Supply/8324293.p?id=1218872213103&skuId=8324293&st=CX600M&cp=1&lp=1 XFX R7850 Graphics Card- http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Ultra+OC+Radeon+7850+1GB+DDR5+PCI+Express+3.0+Graphics+Card/7733057.p?id=1218858759396&skuId=7733057&st=Graphic%20card&cp=1&lp=1 2 x 2 GB RAM All of the above I have bought to start the upgrade on the computer... Below is what all came with it that has yet to be upgraded. ASROCK G41M-S http://www.asrock.com/mb/intel/g41m-s/ (It is a DDR2, would like to know the difference between DDR2 and DDR3, and which to get) And the CPU is a : Intel Celeron E1500 Conroe 2.2GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor BX80557E1500 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116075 And for my hard drive, I have no clue. My budget is around $300-500 and I'm looking for some decent/good FPS. Thanks!
September 24, 201312 yr So you want to reuse your old 2x2Gb ram for total of 4Gig in your new computer? Can be done but 8Gig would be much better. You plan to overclock at all? If so, your ram will matter and you will need a good cpu cooler in the budget.

Well for the DDR2 board and max is 8 Gigs but I was wanting to go with DDR3 board to where I can get over 8+ Gigs around 32 possibly. And as for overclocking, i'm not sure how to do it and what it is and all, but if it'll boost up the performance then yes I will overclock.
