November 29, 200421 yr Hi Jonathan,Will wait with the FS-GS method some more. But tried FS Autostart, and could not see any clear changes in performances compared with Enditall.Maybe my settings must be changed in FS Autostart!?When it comes to the memory thing, I know that my memory must increase asap. :-)Have been doing the complete "Page file setup" procedure. And when using the Legendary B707 or Altitude Concorde, my total Commit Charge ALWAYS exceeds the total Physical Memory. And that should never happen! That is why I need to increase the RAM memory. ;-)I can not understand why Captain Sim or the guys behind the Altitude Concorde, have not checked their products, doing this check!? :-rollIf they had done that, they would have discovered the memory leaks in a very early stage,...before the release. It is so easy, and takes just seconds. ;-)Safe landings, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSA"I will come and cut your lawn for a high quality DC8-63 system"[/color]http://www.scandicair.com/images/dc9_banner.jpgMy specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz512 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProCatalyst 4.7DirectX 9.0cW XP Home with SP1E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan
November 30, 200421 yr Staffan:FSAutostart gives you the option to turn off many services and programs and when it is configured properly, it will give you a real boost in terms of freed-up RAM and fluidity. The RAM de-fragger is a great little feature. Keep working at it and take your time to study the options to close things down.Check out some Windows XP services and programs here if you need info:http://www.windowsstartup.com/wso/search.phpThe foregoing is a brilliant website with a ton of good info on it.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
November 30, 200421 yr Hi StaffanNo surprise to see you system is battling with only 512 MB RAM.You should seriously get yourself either 1GB or prefferably 2GB.My system has the ALT Concorde rocking with a fully clickable VC unlike he PSS non functional VC.I havn't tried the 707 and will not as i learnt my lesson with CS with the terrible problems with the 72.Never again CS for me.Your probs with the ALT Conc are almost certainly RAM related as i have a similar processor but a better Vid card.It will make a huge difference to go to even 1GB for you.Darren
