Sky-Decks CRJ panel & Posky CRJ

Featured Replies

I bought the panel and I'm using it with Posky CRJ.I'm getting a big hit on FPS.I tried the panel in a few others very low FPS.Anyone else experence this? Thanks, Bob

To this point I've received only a couple of complaints on this, with the general concensus being that the panel is very easy on FPS. Can you tell me a bit about your system?

It's a low end system. I average about 15-20 fps in most aircraft using mostly freeware aircraft. With the Sky Deck panel when I first load it, FPS will be 8-10 FPS ( cold cockpit ) then when I start it up it drops to 3-4 FPS and stays that way. I do have the B737 Sky-Deck panel and have no problem at all. Great panel. I also tried using the Sky Deck CRJ panel in the Bombardier CRJ-700, By Project SkyWorks.I get better FPS 8-10, but VC looks like this. ( See attachment ) I also tried to install the panel in the Premier Aircraft Design CRJ 700, but it would not show up at all. My sense is that is about as frame hungry as other panels with similar quality and functionality. I think what can be misleading is the VC with the POSKY CRJ is super simple and easy to process, so when you toggle to the 2D SkyDecks panel it becomes obvious which one is tougher on your system. This is not the case in other systems where the VC is really much more advanced, and as a result is often harder on the system than the 2D panel is. Noel

Hey Pilot,Funny you should point me to that web page, you must have ESP. I just bought that system for my young daughter, got a better deal though $279.99 LOL. Got in line at 4:30 am ,on black friday, at Office Depot. But I don't think it has much to do with my old computer running that Sky-Decks panel. I can run the PMDG B1900D at around 14-18 FPS and what i've read its kind of hard on fps on a computer like mine. And If I put my FS2004 on that new computer of my daughter's my wife will have my " you now what's"!!! Anyhow thanks for the reply, Bob McDuff

Sounds like you could use some more power Captain. Again, this is something that I don't hear too much of. A few things you might want to consider:Try downloading the utility, FS Auto Start as file name, "fsasv1111.zip" here in the library. It shuts down any programs that aren't needed when FS is in use. Also, check section "e" in the PMDG support, FAQ's page... there's some good suggestions there for getting some extra frames.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/html/support/FAQ.htmLet me know if this helps at all...
