After installing Windows 8.1 an rerunning the Windows Performance Index my graphics rating went from 8.1 to 8.4 using the same 2 680 GTX GPUs in SLI mode.

 

This would be a great thing except that I had to roll back to Windows 8 as not all of my system drivers had updated 8.1 versions yet.

 

Still a good sign IMO.
