Pause and park Brake Flags

Hi Folks. Does anybody know why, when I go to 3D virtual cockpit mode I lose the Red with white writing flags at the bottom left of the screen that let you know if you have the Parking brakes on, after pressing Shift period, as well as letting you know FS9 is paused after clicking the 'P' on keyboard. They show up in 2D cockpit but disappear in the 3D cockpit. Is there a way of remedying this please?
