This is a great app and I can tell a lot of work has gone into it but it could really use a manual. Especially for newbs to flight sims and flight in general.. Maybe someone can donate the efforts to create one? A complete manual covering every aspect of the app would be great..

 

I'm the type who likes to understand all that an app has to offer and I could use some help understanding how to use the various symbols in the map. I have figured out most of it but theres a couple things I cannot understand:

 

VORS - I have found real world explanations for these as a "VHF Omnidirection Range" but I don't see how you can use them in this sim.

 

AIRWAYS - It looks like the white lines everywhere represent flight paths from various airports. Can you use these in the sim somehow though?  I can't figure out what the tiny triangles are representing.

The app currently as i am told will have an HSI (Horizontal Situation Indicator) which not only support VOR functionality as well as NAV mode in the GPS auto pilot modes. The HSI coupled with an APPOACH mode will allow an ILS right to the runway within 200 ft off the ground perfectly aligned in the horizontal but in the vertical also! 

 

Do some homework on the subject and you get much more enjyoment out ouf the app!  

Thanks, Yeah since then I have been obsessed with all things flight and have learned a lot. I now know about VOR's Plates, Airways, waypoints, radio frequencies, etc.. I ended up buying  x-plane and a logitech flight stick! Cool new stuff to nerd out on. I've even looked into the cost for a real plane and a hangar! haha.. I can dream..
