Great Program!! I will donate soon! In the meantime, is there a way to orient the map and/or the aircraft such that it actually points in the direction I am flying? I hope you understand what I mean. Sometimes on the ground I don't know for sure what direction to turn on a taxiway intersection. Also, when flying, I would like to see my direction, rather than the map just pointing or oriented North, I think. I have been studying the great documentation, so maybe I missed that setting. Thanks.

This is a great app and I can tell a lot of work has gone into it but it could really use a manual. Especially for newbs to flight sims and flight in general.. Maybe someone can donate the efforts to create one? A complete manual covering every aspect of the app would be great.. I'm the type who likes to understand all that an app has to offer and I could use some help understanding how to use the various symbols in the map. I have figured out most of it but theres a couple things I cannot understand: VORS - I have found real world explanations for these as a "VHF Omnidirection Range" but I don't see how you can use them in this sim. AIRWAYS - It looks like the white lines everywhere represent flight paths from various airports. Can you use these in the sim somehow though? I can't figure out what the tiny triangles are representing.

Hi Folks Yes World - World, as intended. Whilst I love Flight's UI map-based concept, and admire its stylised representation, I'd always found its implementation, lacking sufficient useable detail, and on occasion, downright misleading. Guessing from some screenies, the flurry of FTK v1.0.17 'profile issue' posts, utterly swamped recognition & appreciation of Steve's incorporated World Region UI addon. I've no idea whether people are actively using it, so just as a head's up using Air1's location pic as a comparison example - It displays the terrain topography and some vector data from Flight's native files. I'd mainly been flying in windowed mode, (small), since installing I've started using full-screen mode again. Nice work Steve. ATB Paul

and more than 78 million buildings. Hi all ! View the 2013 data report here: http://www.mapbox.com/osm-data-report/ Find your house on the map here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/ Do you want to get a more realistic and detailed world inside your flight simulators ? Hi, when I display the compass rose for the KHAF airport in P3D v4.5.14 and Orbx scenery, North and the map tilt to the right instead of directly above the display. How do I turn the map display a little bit into the counter-clockwise direction so that the compass rose, North; is actually pointing to 'true north'? Thank you.

Hi folks, newbie to littlenavmap and this forum. I am using XP11 and am connected to lnm. I'm following the tutorial so I can avoid asking stupid questions, but ran into an issue almost immediately. So I'm going to have to ask a stupid question now. I'm attempting to create a new flight plan and have selected the departure airport on the map. However, the airport only stays centered on the map for about 12 seconds, and then if flips out in a different scale to a different part of the country unrelated to where I was. Doesn't matter where I hover the mouse or anything else. Any ideas? I thought it might have something to do with my XP11 aircraft parked in a different airport, but I exited XP and that didn't help. Thanks in advance for your help.

Looking for a replacement for the in-game VFR map. Would like to see a more detailed version with city names, landmarks, etc. Any suggestions? I am currently using an add-on called Flight Sim Discovery, but not totally happy. It's supposed to login automatically, but I have to manually do it each flight. Just wondering if there's something a little better?

Hi, My aircraft seems to be disappearing after 10-15 mins of following the magenta line from both the stock GNS530 and the in-game VFR Map. Quite disastrous finding an airport if you're not familiar with the general area as you can imagine. Anyone knows what's going on? Edit: Also the aircraft icon on the GNS and the map looks like a boat rather than an aircraft. Is this something new? Running an i7 9700k, rtx 3090, 32 gigs of ram, 2x 1TB NVMEs, SUX on TAA with DX12 (with the new nvidia studio driver) and most setting on 4K Ultra (on a 50 inch Samsung QN90B)

The icons for map data (including route waypoints) are missing, although the labels are there. These shots were taken in the B350i, but it appears to be a common thread across all Carenado's ProLine21 birds in P3Dv4. I have observed this on my machine, and I have seen it in other users' screen shots as well...so I know I'm not the only one. This is with a basic install, no mods, directed to the main P3D V4 directory. If you are experiencing this as well, please let me know or send Carenado a ticket. Their P3Dv4 installers introduce so many new problems. Some of them were easy fixes (wrong entries in dll.xml, PC12 installer doesn't install required fonts)...but Carenado will probably have to fix this one on their own.

Hello, I managed to make the EOX Sentinel-2 Cloudless map work for FSEarthTiles 🙂 What you need to do: Step 1: a) Open "FSEarthTiles.ini" b) Copy and paste that under your sources [Service5] ServiceName = Sentinel 2 Cloudless map ServiceCodeing = zyx ServiceUrl = https://a.tiles.maps.eox.at/wmts/1.0.0/s2cloudless-2019_3857/default/GoogleMapsCompatible/%s.jpg Referer = https://a.tiles.maps.eox.at UserAgent = Mozilla/4.0 ServerVariations = a,b,c,d c) Rename your Service Number according to your file For me it's Service5 but for you it may be different so rename it so that it follows your current sources Referer and UserAgent are optional, you can disable them by commenting them using "#". I have noted no difference with or without these lines Step 2: IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW IT IT WON'T WORK a) Open "TileCodeingScript.cs" (in the FSEarthTiles folder) with notepad b) Locate the lines: else if (EarthCommon.StringCompare(iUseCode, "zxy")) { Int64 vServiceZ = EarthMath.cLevel0CodeDeep - iAreaCodeLevel; Int64 vServiceX = iAreaCodeX; Int64 vServiceY = iAreaCodeY; //vResultCode = "&x=" + vServiceX.ToString() + "&y=" + vServiceY.ToString() + "&z=" + vServiceZ.ToString(); vResultCode=vServiceZ.ToString() + "//" + vServiceX.ToString() + "//" + vServiceY.ToString(); } c) Now after these lines copy and paste the following lines : else if (EarthCommon.StringCompare(iUseCode, "zyx")) { Int64 vServiceZ = EarthMath.cLevel0CodeDeep - iAreaCodeLevel; Int64 vServiceX = iAreaCodeY; Int64 vServiceY = iAreaCodeX; //vResultCode = "&x=" + vServiceX.ToString() + "&y=" + vServiceY.ToString() + "&z=" + vServiceZ.ToString(); vResultCode=vServiceZ.ToString() + "//" + vServiceX.ToString() + "//" + vServiceY.ToString(); } Like so : For People who want to know why the second step: -Why do we have to do this? -Because, the source link is like this : https://a.tiles.maps.eox.at/.../ZoomLevel/Latitude/Longitude If you think of a grid you have X = longitude and Y = latitude Now FSEarthtiles must read the link and that's what the ServiceCodeing is for: By putting zxy, FSEarthtiles will read the ZoomLevel, the Longitude and the Latitude in THAT order. You see the problem? FSEarthTiles reads Longitude where the Latitude is in the link so X and Y are inversed. Because there was no "zyx" read mode I had to implement it myself by just copying the "zxy" elif instruction and just inverse X and Y. Maybe there is a smarter way to do it directly in the FSEarthTiles.ini file but I don't know. And that's it ! :) I like the EOX map more than google and bing because even if the max zoom is something like 4m/pixel it gives -a cloudless map -more vivid and beautiful colors than Google and Bing in my opinion

Hey all fellow pilots, I am looking for an app for my iPad to be used for Charts, calculations, weather, basically as a kneeboard for myself to use in FSX and possibly RW. I see tons of apps in the app store, and all of them advertise the same things. Which ones are the best, and what do you suggest for me? I will be most likely starting my RW flight training in the next year, and if possible would like to use whatever app I get now, for that. I do have an AOPA account and was looking at the FlyQ apps, but I do not have 170.00 to spend for a 12-month membership. Thanks in advance!

Flying the F-16 over the carribean sea I see map tiles textured onto the water. Why is this? Here are two images: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mffe116cwi43mal/Textures1.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nemktifjsdlws16/Textures2.jpg?dl=0 I guess it's because of the spedd with the F-16 P3D can not keep up with loading textures. I see it from the cockpit and in outside view. Doesn't happen in the Beaver. Maybe someone knows why and can assist me in finding out the reason? Thx, Karl

Hi, I've rebuilt my simulator PC over the weekend and have got it running line a dream now. Up until this point I've not had many issues, in fact no issues other than what is described in the issue tracking thread. However, whilst planning an arrival into London Heathrow, I managed to crash FSX to the desktop. I restarted and performed the same steps and it crashed again. I then did it a third time to be sure that I can reproduce the issue. I was wondering if the issue is only isolated to my sim or if it's a bug? Can someone please test this and let me know the results? This is how I managed to get the CTD and how I am also able to reproduce the CDT on my sim. 1. Program the arrival into the FMC without pressing EXEC afterwards. 2. Switch to the LEGS page of the FMC 3. Switch to MAP view 4. Switch the LWR CTR display to NAV 5. Crash Is it only on my sim that this is happening? Thanks Rynardt Never mind, I just saw this has been added to the issue tracking thread...

Announcing FS Map Tool 1.3.0, an update to the mobile map utility for MS FS2020, available on Apple App Store and on Google Play. It's a simple yet effective external map utility that shows your current plane location on an interactive map, alongside other parameters such as speed, altitude and heading. You can set (virtual) waypoints and it also supports teleportation, so you can go anywhere in the world in just an instant, without restarting the game. Head over to www.fsmaptool.com for more info. I've made this in my spare time as a fun side project. Let me know if you have any issues or suggestions and ideas on how to improve the app. I'm open for feedback and happy to include new features wherever possible. Happy flying!
