Aircraft icon disappears from stock GNS530 and VFR Map

Hi,

My aircraft seems to be disappearing after 10-15 mins of following the magenta line from both the stock GNS530 and the in-game VFR Map. Quite disastrous finding an airport if you're not familiar with the general area as you can imagine. Anyone knows what's going on? 

Edit: Also the aircraft icon on the GNS and the map looks like a boat rather than an aircraft. Is this something new? 

Running an i7 9700k, rtx 3090, 32 gigs of ram, 2x 1TB NVMEs, SUX on TAA with DX12 (with the new nvidia studio driver) and most setting on 4K Ultra (on a 50 inch Samsung QN90B)
