OM for Eclipse 5002k4

Featured Replies

Just downloaded the Eclipse. GREAT plane. A freebee that I wouldn't object if I paid for.Instructions include "Read the operating manual", but it's not there. There's installation, checklists, etc., but no manual. Anyone know where I can find it?????(I e-mailed the author while waiting I decided to ask here as well)Incidentally if you want a really peppy great small business jet, try this one!

It sounds like you downloaded Fuel Labs Eclipse, since I didn't include a checklist with mine.Having said that, I am curious myself if the instructions referenced an operating manual. The Eclipse isn't in production yet--it is still going through test flights. Any operating manual is a guess at this point, since an official one is not yet published. Even a checklist is a guess, same reason. If you like the Eclipse, also feel free to give mine a try--it's done in FSDS 2 and is presented in the proper scale (the Fuel Labs release is too big vs. the real Eclipse, and has too many pax seats--the real Eclipse has room for 2 pilots+4pax, but is more likely going to be delivered in a 2+3 combo). The Fuel Labs Eclipse is still beautifully modelled--I emailed Tim Stevens on the two issues I noted but it was too late for him to adjust the model. Mine is a low poly version I updated for FS2002/FS2004 working with Dave Eckert. Do a search on "Cillis" in the file library, under author.-John

John,Eclipse 500 PROCEDURESFor detailed instructions on how to fly this aircraft, see the Aircraft Handbook. For suggested speeds, see the Reference tab.____________________________________Above is taken from instruction page included. You're right about the source. Possibly it was released knowing that the handbook would be available soon.I'll check out your edition-thanks for the pointer.

'WelcomeThe Eclipse should go into production in 2006. I suspect manuals may start appearing along with final ref. speeds in late '05-John

Hope you don't mind me jump in here. I also download Fuel Labs version. However, my Eclipse always says it is overweight even without fuel. Does your model fix this?

I have the same experience. From time to time the plane just shuts down. Sometimes its fuel, sometimw a mystery. Also, when click on panel make VS guage visible, a big red "OFF" appears. What does "off" mean?...since nothing seems to cease function.I just posted on an ealier question my solution to a another problem. The brakes cause the plane to "dig" into the runway. I adjusted the cfg under BRAKES from 3.500 to 0.500. Now the stops are very easy. I gues if you want a little quicker stop you can experiment with 0.1 increases.Just a fun plane!!!!!

Hover your mouse over the OFF and a tooltip will popup and identify the hotspot for you. When you see the + sign, it will turn ON with a left mouseclick. When you see a - sign, it will turn it OFF again.
