October 14, 201312 yr Hi - I'm looking to find out how P3D handles AI traffic. Specifically, in what format does the simulator tell the graphics processor how to display what pixels. In a nutshell, we are attempting to create a rudimentary TCAS system, and while we might be over our heads, I thought I'd try here first. Does anyone have any experience working with AI traffic? SDK developers? Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!- Colin
October 14, 201312 yr Moderator Colin, at this moment, AI in Prepar3D is handled the same way it is in FSX. So, the same solution for TCAS used for FSX will work in P3D. There is a module available from the AVSIM Library* that exposes the AI data to an XML gauge. Or, you can use the C++ methods of reading the gps.dll file if you are coding in C. * TrafficRadar.dll Filename: trafficradar.zip License: Freeware Added: 6th March 2012, 04:30:01 Downloads: 761 Author: Doug Dawson - Original by Arne Bartels Size: 1107kb Fr.
