You started a nice thread since I'm also interested in flying in Japan as soon as I put my hands on FTXG and some Overland airports. 

 

Can you pls post some more screenshots to see if it's worth an effort?

I have a nice one of FTGX in Quebec, which will give you an idea about it but not Japan (which are freeware addons anyway as opposed to FTGX which I think is your issue of concern money-wise). Note that FTGX does not contribute to the landclass here, it is UTX_Cana that does that
