December 4, 200421 yr I use several POKSY 747-200s with Massimo Grassi's superb 747-200 panel. The thing is, the flap settings on his cockpit panel look weird when I activate them on the POKSY 742s: flaps 1 yields flaps 5 on the panel and all other flap settings are reflected inaccuratley up to flaps 30 (which appears as flaps 40 on the cockpit panel).I looked in the cfg file for the 747-200s and they have what appear to be several weird flap settings (0-5-10-15-20-25-30) although against that I'm not a cfg expert and perhaps I am mis-reading the data. I thought the 742 would have similar flap settings as the 744, but again, maybe not.(I haven't emailed Massimo since he doesn't list an email address in his zip file.)Can anybody advise me on this, please? December 5, 200421 yr Author Dear Johan:Thanks, Magister, for the post, data and advice. Will advise results.Later!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
December 5, 200421 yr Author Hi, Johan:I just checked and it seems the cfg data in your post is what I already have in my POSKY 742s.I think it is solely the flaps indicator on the panel by Massimo that is inaccurate because when I use Mitch's 742 panel, I get correct indications, at least for flaps 1,5, and 10 whereas I get totally inaccurate indication's using Massimo's panel; that said, his "approach view" sub-panel has correct indicators for flaps 1,5, and 10! They are both good but Massimo's has great "atmosphere" and really looks closer to the real thing. So I will just continue to use both and try not to get hung up on this item any longer.BTW, I think the POSKY 742 is a stunning flyer. Did you work on that? Thanks again and Cheers!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
