October 28, 201312 yr I recently upgraded my Windows 8 machine to Windows 8.1, and the first thing I noticed was that a couple of my icons had disappeared from the desktop. They were the ones associated with using G-Plan and Gmaps with FSWidgets as a GPS for my activities in MS Flight. Even worse, not only did I lose the icons, but I seem to have lost the function as well. MS Flight still works great, but I can't seem to find a way to bring up the FSWidgets window during a flight. I used to have it set up so that when I started Flight, I could also start FSWidgets and then I could open/close the inset window with a ctrl-shift-z command. I have checked the obvious. G-Plan v3 and Gmaps are still installed and working fine on their own. I still have the FSWidgets download in my Downloads folder, but can't see that it's actually set up and functioning anywhere else. But now it only works with FSX (which it was designed for). Has anyone else done this Windows 8 upgrade and found the same problem? Any simple solutions short of starting over from square one?
