December 6, 200421 yr I finally got a system that I thought could handle AA but I'm having problems with it.AMD 32006800gt newest NVidia drivergig of DDR400I left AA off in FS9, and set my video card AA to 4x. When I hit apply I get screen flickering even before I start FS9. In FS9 the screen flickers everytime I change the view. FSNavigator has some BIG problems. It takes about 20 seconds for the nav info to load on the FSNav map, only maybe 1 second before AA. Everytime I leave FSNav and return I have to wait for the nav info again. So, is this normal? If not, can somebody help me?
December 6, 200421 yr Check your motherboard drivers, you may want to look for a later set than you have installed. If that is not the issue, check and make sure you have the latest version of DirectX (9.0c) installed. Try running directX diagnostics to see if you can find a clue there. If all else fails, try a different video driver rather than the most recent.Good Luck with it.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

December 7, 200421 yr "FSNavigator has some BIG problems. It takes about 20 seconds for the nav info to load on the FSNav map, only maybe 1 second before AA."I had the same problem and fixed it by changing AA to 2X or 8X, running then exiting FS9 and FSNav, and finally resetting AA back to 4X. This solution was posted a while back and it worked for me.David
December 7, 200421 yr Author Some cards, like my GeForce 4 that I have, have an anti-alias setting checked in their own settings menu found in the advanced display settings. I have found this conflicts with the anti-alias settings in a game if both are activated.----------------------------------------------------------------John S.
