Is it at all possible to get permission to establish a temporary support forum for PRO-ATC/X here at AVSIM? We (PATC users) have not had a reliable working support forum for some time now. In fact it has been down more than working for several days now and it has not been up all day today.

 

This software is in a position right now, of being workable for most, but under some limited conditions and requiring various work a rounds from time to time. There are many new users that are not aware of these work a rounds etc and rely on interaction on a support forum that, when it is working, does not provide a functioning search facility. This also means that in the interest of expediency they are looking for quick answers to a particular bug or hiccup from more seasoned PATC users. You can't do this if the forum is down all the time.

 

Notwithstanding the foregoing, there are many seasoned users (some that have shelved this software) looking for information on what is now a long awaited update/new version. That forum is our only conduit for this information and we can't keep PM ing the Dev or using the support email.

 

So if Dom, Roy or Clive are out there, please ask Mourad to consider this (if possible). I apologies if this post break's any rules, which is not my intent.

 

Edit. Just discovered it is back up for the first time today 9:05 p.m. EDT.
