To me it sounds fine coming from a non 737 pilot. I think I am one of many that are laymen that can only assume what is authentic.

Well I must confess that I am not a 737 pilot and have spent literally 1000s of hours in just about every square inch of the 737 except (unfortunately) the flight deck. I have however spent many, many hours in the flight deck of the PMDG NGX, NGXU and the MSFS PMDG 737 and for me the sound from the cockpit of the MSFS PMDG 737 is awful. I have been struggling to eliminate an annoying swooshing sound from the cockpit/ambience sounds when advancing or regarding the thrust during taxi ever since I purchased the MSFS version and finally Boris has sent it packing. That alone is worth the purchase price. Notwithstanding all that, This for me is the best sound pack of them all.

I don’t know if this is a MSFS thing, but as a long time P3D user the biggest disappointment to me when flying the MSFS pmdg 737 is the sound in the flight deck where I spend 99% of my sim time. If just the ambient sound in the cockpit is the same as the latest videos, I will be very happy. To me the present cockpit sound is awful and if I follow the recommended across the board 100% volume settings the engines are way too loud.

But the existing .exe file generates a dx installer when selecting P3dv5 that doesn’ t work as it would If I was using p3dv4 which is more seamless as it is with all my other apps. Regards

Hi Bryan. I have actually found a way around the problem. It turns out that the DirectX installer that gets generated during the install process for P3D v5 is corrupted. What I actually did was to do a install of the P3D v4 version, copied the DX installer to my desk top, did another install of UGCX for P3D v5 and used that DX installer on my desk top and it worked. I would’t mind getting my hands on a UGCX for P3D v5 installer if possible. thank you very much for getting back to me, Regard Richard Hobbs.

Hi, After a long absbsence from my P3Dv5 sim I tried to reinstall my UGCX v2.6 but keep getting a DirertX intstall error so i can't intall my UGCX. All my other programs and apps install just fine. Would very much appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Hi, thanks for the the info, however when trying to install cywg I get a scenery config error. I went into the XML file and added my user name but still get the same error. Is their anything else I am missing. Sorry to bother you. Regards,

Hi, Can anybody recommend a good freeware scenery for two Canadian airport sceneries: Calgary and Winnipeg. The only pay ware versions I can find come in packages including airports I already have or don't want. I am running P3d v5.4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Might sound too simple, but have you tried disconnecting from your internet, run a scan with (for instance) Malwarebytes and removing whatever it finds, then reconnecting?

Then I'm out of my depth I'm afraid.

Did you completely uninstall both VOXPOP voices "and" VOXPOP server along with VATC and delete the VOXATC folder from the InternalWorkings folder before reinstall?

Have you just done a reinstall of VATC?

Poor old Tegwyn is taking a beating here, however I can see your point Mario. I did suggest a few weeks ago on this forum, that all of these problems and solutions be moved to a pinned thread on the first page of this forum. Not as good as developer participation but might save a bit of time and frustration.

I agree with what you are saying but don't know the answer either. The best solution I could find was this: http://www.strikingsoftware.com/downloads.shtml It uses your REX textures and gives you a bunch of different water settings to try, or you can play around with the settings yourself. I did notice an improvement but not a complete transformation, especially the part where water meet's land which I find the most unrealistic in FSX. Regards.

Still running FSXBE and (for me) it is running smooth and no OOMs, so I think I will wait until I can just install FSXSE, put my addons in and go fly. Until then, I have it in my Steam library.

Just a guess, but i think it's VOXATC way of clearing the runway after giving you clearance to land. My thoughts are that VATC can control the AI, but it cant control you in as much as exactly how long, according to your preliminary and final approach speeds and therefore exactly when you will be landing, so if you get there a little quicker than VOXATC estimates, there's a 747 taxiing or sitting on the runway. I assume this is what you mean?

I believe this possibility was discussed on their forum some time ago and if I remember correctly, the answer was no, in view of the fact that the 747 v2 is a complete from the ground up new product. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody.

Can't see any reason why ATC would have me crossing 08R at all, L runs straight from the terminal to the end of 08R and is accessible from every part of the terminal area.

So are you saying that it is possibly VoxATC and not the FSDT afcad?

Didn't have a problem myself, went through the purchase process, and activated same day. As for top dollar, there's only one price, try the demo, buy if you like it, don't if you don't.

Unless FSX is the exception, yes you can, I believe the option comes up during the initial stages of purchase.

Not quite the same problem as mine, i.e. AI is using the same route in my case, so I suspect an AFCAD problem.

Not saying it wont work but bin there, done that twice before and nothing but problems and I'm not the only one. For the extra time it takes, I would "never" do a reinstall of VOXATC without uninstalling Voxpop voices and server before reinstalling.

If you are using Voxpop voices, then I advise you to completely uninstall all of the voices "and" Voxpop server also before installing your new version of VOXATC, then reinstall after new VOXATC installation.
