  1. In the UK VOR and DME are still required for IR training.
  2. I purchased this plane a couple of days ago. My first observation is that it doesn’t have a DME which is mandatory for flying ILS approaches. I tested the aircraft on a procedural ILS approach into Oxford, EGTK, which I have flown many times in the real world. I have the PMS50 GTN 750 which performed well on the ILS but on GPS gave no guidance to the HSI so I had to follow the Magenta line on the display. I also found the aircraft unstable when setting up the avionics in flight, the aircraft had drifted well of course whilst I set up the procedure and tuned the ADF to OX. I will try the flight again including flying the hold with real world weather switched off.
  3. OK so I have just flown the same approach with the A2A Cessna 172 and GTN 750 with no problems with the HSI glide slope must be a A2A PA28 issue.
  4. I have flown the ILS into EGTK many times in the past and it is displayed on the GTN 750. I will try without the GTN later to confirm.
  5. Hi, I'm flying the A2A Cherokee on FSX-SE and XRP GTN 750. I haven't flown an ILS for a few months I have flown RNP approaches with no problems. Today I flew an ILS approach into EGTK. Everything worked fine until I was capturing the ILS. The GTN went from GPS to VLOC automatically as it should, but the HSI flags showed no ILS and no GS. I have just flown an RNP approach and everything worked fine lateral and vertical guidance. have I missed a setting somewhere? Also the Visual approach gives a message "Vertical Guidance not available"
  6. Hi, I use an iPad and spacedesk on FSX-SE and it works fine, touch screen and all.
  7. Hi Kevin, have you managed to get the UK enhancement working with v7?
  8. There is a support forum under Commercial Support Forums ( Unofficial and Official). Have you run the VOXAtc indexer, this needs to be run so VOXATC can recognise airfields from installed scenery and installed aircraft. Sorry, that should be the VOXATC indexer and the VoxATC Panel setup. The later enables you to define the aircraft you intend to use.
  9. Have managed to set it in A2A Cherokee.
  10. Thanks Ian, I did steps 1 & 2 same as you and did not show up in Plan G. I'll follow 3 & 4. And that should fix it.
  11. Kevin Firstly, thanks for work you have done on creating this airspace. I too am confused. The zip file contains the following: BNXWorld0_amended.BGL BNXWorld1_amended.BGL ENR5.1 Danger Areas.BGL ENR5.1 Prohibited and Restricted Areas.BGL Readme file Change log + 2 pictures UK Airspace Boundaries Folder Your post above says that the amended are the same as the default? should there be a couple of other bgl files? Roger
  12. Hi Kevin, Thanks for the link, it looks good, i'll give it a try. Ian. There is a 44 page document covering the UK enhancements, which includes an example VFR flight and an IFR flight. The VFR flight from Plymouth to Kemble and includes a MATZ penetration and a Danger Area Crossing service for D012. It also covers Emergencies, Urgencies (Pan Pan Pan) and LARS. The big advantage is you "speak with ATC" not just select an option on a menu. For me, this makes the whole experience much more immersive and not just a game. Regards Roger
  13. FSX doesn't know where the MATZs are, I use Plan G for flight planning which does have SOME MATZ (Benson zone is not there). It's up to you to request MATZ penetration/transit through VOXatc. So it is purely procedural. I don't recall the UK specific differencies, I'll check and post tomorrow. Roger
  14. I have been using VOXatc with the UK add on for a few years. I found it very useful for radio practice whilst doing my PPL 3 years ok. I don't use the expert mode (no text prompts) as the position reports are extremely prescriptive. I use it with the Horizon/UK2000 scenery and airfields. One thing I found was that some of the radio & ATIS frequencies and circuit (left or right hand) are incorrect. This is not the fault of VOXatc, it is the scenery that is incorrect. VOXatc uses this for its information. I found an editor AFX that enables circuit directions and frequencies to be edited. I have recently migrated to FSX-SE and my first circuits with VOXatc were all ok.
