  1. Cheers Dave, I'll do that. I'll see how it goes and report back.
  2. Dave, On the same subject the 2.4 version recommends 16Gb of RAM. I am running with version 2.2 and 8 Gb. All OK but would like to run with the best version I can (I love it by the way). Looking at the download options it appears it is 2.4 or nothing. Can I or is it worth trying to get a 2.3 down load, stick with what I have or....what? I am not going to 16Gb any day soon as this appears to be the only reason for upgrading at the moment..
  3. Thanks Dave, Excellent service and excellent product.
  4. Dave, Thanks for the very quick reply. I’ll monitor the Line Up and Wait thing but I even came out the ac each time and had a look around for AI, nothing about. As for the Final call, I did exactly what you said, I clicked the ‘On Finals for Full Stop’ and used the ‘Say It’ button several times and still got the same ‘This is Bristol’ etc. I assumed it might be because I already had clearance on the downwind and it was therefore not giving it again. I tried it at several different airports in US and UK and never got a ‘report turning final’, always a clearance and nothing on ‘On Finals for Full Stop’. I'll check which menu it came from. Later........Checked the menu and I was taking it from LandingIntention so 'On Final for Fullstop' rather than'On Final' when in RL I would just say Final. Downwind issue was similar. So my bad for not knowing my way around the menus and not using Pattern Position. Next question, how do I stop ATC telling me that I have traffic when I am in the pattern!. I have tried Canel Traffic advisories and she acknoledges the canel, she thanks me, wishes me a good day then imediately reports traffic :) Malt.
  5. First I would like to say I am blown away by P2ATC, I have used Vox for quite a while and think it is great. However, then X Plane 11 came along and with the ATC on X Plane 11 being both drastically incorrect and bordering on ridiculous I was about to cast X Plane to the ‘nice try’ department when I came across P2ATC. Brilliant! Game changer. Anyway, before I get carried away, a couple of bugs/issues or me getting it wrong. In no particular order, I seem to get forgotten about as soon as I get told to line up and wait, for how long? Well actually for ever until I give ATC a nudge by repeating ready for departure. Is this correct? Secondly, on the downwind leg of a circuit (pattern) I report 'downwind' and get a clearance to land, really, on the downwind? Even with an AI jet on the threshold. When I report ‘Final’ or actually ‘on final for full stop’ as ‘final’ isn’t an option and expect to get a ‘cleared to land’, I get ‘this is Bristol International Airport, go ahead'. Is it me? I can live with all the above as it is brilliant but just wondered.
  6. That is just repeating what you said in the read me text and it still doesn’t make sense. I have got it working now but not by exactly your method. 1. I have changed the BNXWorld0.BGL to BNXWorld0.BGL.orig (as you instructed) to stop it being used and changed BNXWorld0_amended.BGL to BNXWorld0.BGL (and BNXWorld1_amended.BGL obviously). When you start up FSX now the whole of UK airspace is missing which I assume is the point of the exercise at this point. 2. I put the UK Airspace Boundaries Folder in addon Scenery folder and activated it but couldn’t get it to show in FSX or Plan G. 3. However, when I put the ENR5.1 Danger Areas.BGL and ENR5.1 Prohibited and Restricted Areas.BGL in ‘any active folder’ as you advised (actually the world/scenery folder along with BNXWorld0.BGL etc) Plan G picked them up. 4. So…..next I made a copy of the world/scenery folder for safety sake and then dropped the contents of UK Airspace Boundaries Folder in world/scenery folder and hey presto. Plan G shows all the UK airspace boundaries (MATZ et al) and FSX shows the ICOA and regional boundaries in the flight planning, but not danger areas and MATZ (I assume FSX does not understand them). Next I flew with VOXATC and it seem to recognize what was going on and all OK. Brilliant work Kevin.
  7. Dave, Thanks for the quick response. I fully appreciate your priorities and it was the answer I expected. Keep the market on this side on the pond in mind as you progress and the very best of luck with the launch of this exciting product. Ian
  8. OK, not much action here. I have been scouting around about the UK enhancement to VOXATC and whilst it is probably not cricket to discuss one product on a forum relating to another, the vanilla version of VOX does use some UK terminology and the UK add-on I gather does much more, so I would like to try and kick start some information out of anybody reference the applicably of Pilot2atc to VFR/IFR UK flying and I am assuming this is at least a reasonable slice of the potential market. I know the developers occasionally drop in here so can they (or anybody else) please answer the question in the title before I am forced to purchase another product due to lack of information. Simply, does P2ATC support UK/European terminology and procedures beyond HPa and decimal? Thanks (smiley face etc etc) I really don’t mean to sound grumpy but it is a very simple and reasonable question that anybody who owns the app will know.
  9. I am probably being dumb but there is no Bnxworld01 in your file, only Bnxworld01_ammended.bgl which I have shortened to Bnxworld01.bgl. Where does ENR5.1 danger areas go? It looks the similar to the files in the UK Air space folder. Ian
  10. Kevin, Have tried to load this but hit a snag. the files in the read me do not match the ones in the folder (BNXWorld1_amended.BGL rather than BNXWorld1.BGL and ENR5.1 Danger Areas.BGL which isn't mentioned). I have tried a couple of options like just removing '_amended' but get an error of 'area 135 missing in Addon Scenery Folder' when the scenery loads. Any thoughts?
  11. Kevin, A slight aside after seeing your link, and as a Jerseyman living on the mainland, has your Jersey project ever gone puplic? Watched the video link and 'I can see my house from there' came to mind. Ian Ah, not that I know much about marketing but I would have thought getting information about your product out to the public was a fairly fundamental issue. I have been scrabbling around for weeks looking for info on this product. Hence this post. I have found a fairly uniformative video and one paragraph on the RC Simulation website. Not exactly the hard sell. Ian
  12. Thanks Kevin, I'll give that a good looking into. Roger, where is the 44 page manual? I can only find the normal one, not one covering the UK enhancements Thanks Ian
  13. Norman, Thanks for the reply. This seems like it has huge potential. I am trying to get my head around UK airspace control and CAP413 in particular. I would offer any support I can if it meant correct regional proceedures. Good luck with the research and the recovery Ian
  14. I am pretty much in the same boat, doing PPL and Vox ATC is really good training tool but wondering if the extra £29 quid is worth it. How different is the UK add on? I know it says it does MATZ etc but does FSX even know where the MATZ are? Ian
  15. Norman, Does that mean you know there is not UK terminology in this program? That would be a shame. Ian
