  • Boris’s sounds are on another level. If you close your eyes, you will literally hear no difference between the real thing and his sound package.

Okay then let me ask you something. Did you sit in the 737 for 7384 hours over a period of 10 years? Facing the engine on approximately 4 sectors a day? Over 5 days a week? No doubts that the pilots t

Someone on his Discord said it was like flying a whole new aircraft. I absolutely cannot wait for this release. DL-900ER and SW -800 ops are back. Have had this one in the hangar for a long time but now will be using the heck out of it.

And I thought the default sound in the PMDG series was good enough.

Wow that’s great news.  The CRJ pack (among his other work) is incredible.

It’s in beta right now. I would be very surprised if it’s not out by end of this month.

They have always been pretty weak in the sound dept.  I could never understand why aircraft devs skip out on the ground roll sounds...the noisiest part of a trip.  Boris does a great job on sounds, especially the ground roll.  I'll be getting these for sure once PMDG get their aircraft into 2024...

"Headphones out, wallet out for Boris"

In the YouTube link above by @Lucky38i, in one of the comments posted to the video, there is a link for a worn-out wear and tear texture mod for the 737-800. I downloaded it and the mod also works well on a 1440p monitor and would be a nice companion piece to go with the Boris Audioworks Soundpack.

While most sounds are spot on. Especially the trim sounds, they are soooo much better than PMDG's. Also, the fuel pump and hydraulic sounds close to the over-wing exits are so much better. However that engine roar is waaaay off during takeoff. The 737 doesn't sounds like that from any angle - I wonder if they are just trying to be very different from the PMDG's sounds when it comes to the engine sounds. At idle they are pretty good but during takeoff, not so much. And the PACK sounds are way too loud. While they are a little loud in the real thing, but not this loud. Actually I wonder how many people know this but the majority of airflow sounds come from the Recirculation fans not from the PACKS in the real thing.
