JustFlight Fokker F70/F100 Release Date: Thursday, June 25th
When you enter your FROM/TO the IRS position is set to the center of the airport. You'd need to adjust it to be the exact point where you are. Yes the FMS is essentially the same in the Airbus A300 and a precursor to EIS1 but if INIT B has not been populated before engine start then you essentially "complete" it on the FUEL PRED page, so the FMS has the necessary information to build a path.

CSS B737-300&400 freighters inbound
Personally I use spad so I can’t answer but you can find out with the $5 rental? Or ask on the discord.

CSS B737-300&400 freighters inbound
I couldn’t say I use chaseplane simbrief imports have been implemented for a while now. With the most recent update the AT maintains FMC speed great. No issues with the VNAV either pending you don’t treat it like an NG.

Mscenery has been removed from MSFS Marketplace
What difference does it make? Personally I don't see why people are rejoicing on this as a win. There's nothing stopping mscenery from rebranding and doing the same thing. A better post would've been a revision of requirements on posting on the marketplace, descriptions that accurately depict the product, pictures that actually portray the product. If submissions to the marketplace can't adhere then they are denied. Furthermore reviews and ratings on products should be verified or at-least the review should contain some information, how long has the reviewer flown the plane (Someone who flew for 5 minutes is not someone's opinion im going to listen to), what are their PC specs etc. Similar to Steam's review system. Mscenery is simply the symptom of a poorly managed marketplace and banning them is a bandaid measure to make simmers happy temporarily. It doesn't fix things.

I really like BeyondATC BUT....
I'm not sure what feature, BATC released that would constitute as scope creep. Traffic and airport runway operations is a fundamental part of the Air Traffic Control process, this is a puzzling statement, what are you talking about? I really would like to see a piece of software that hasn't had several rewrites. It's a fundamental part of being a SWE, the ability to realize you're software as it currently stands is limiting to the vision you've set out. Especially with something like ATC, I mean just look at VoxATC. It's been in development for near 5-6 years at this point, I can guarantee they've had their fair share of rewrites, the only difference is you have the ability to be a part of that due to the early access program. Considering every area of BATC interconnects with other systems of itself, I really wonder how you would architect a system with code isolation here and minimize regressions. No area in ATC operates in a vacuum. Which is exactly why BATC has done a survey as-well as built emulators to help fix bugs. Early Access isn't a partnership, it's simply an opportunity to have an open view in the development process, which can often be ugly.

I am curious how voxatc will stack up when it decides to come out

interesting new camera view app
Honestly in ‘24 no issues at all, they even got rid of the double cursor that was in 2020. I actually lied there’s one minor issue, when you press start flight, your camera won’t work for like 2 seconds while chaseplane initialises. That’s pretty much it.

Chaseplane works relatively fine in VR, what issues are you having?

iniBuilds A380 ...
I just want to add, the FBW is a poor performer because when it released it was primarily detail to the max with very little optimisation. This was discussed in the NOTAM. There is however, an upcoming update in testing for FS24 that includes a large variety of performance optimisations and compliance with the fs24 SDK. that’ll result in greatly improved performance. Fbw showcased this at FSW last year and this year at the more recent event last weekend.

Is Quest 3 a safe purchase for flight sims ?
Your internet speed is unrelated to using wireless VR. It's dependent on the latency between your PC and your headset within your own network. To answer your question. I do not have a dedicated router for Wireless VR. I currently have a single Unifi U6+ paired with a Unifi CloudGateway Ultra. Having a separate AP gave me the confidence in that I didn't need a dedicated router for this setup. It deals with my household needs as-well as PCVR needs perfectly. If anything I need to by another AP as the signal is a little weak for the television upstairs but that's irrelevant. My PC is connected via Ethernet. I use Virtual Desktop (Fantastic piece of software) and my hardware is a 5800X3D paired with a 7800XT. Performance is acceptable enough where I genuinely refuse to go back to flatscreen, despite it being a much smoother experience. I have AutoFPS managing my settings as necessary to keep a stable 36 NFR fps. This is using a Quest 3 with a Bobovr Strap for extra batter life, though I only have the headset on for preflight, takeoff, approach and landing. Other times I switch back to flatscreen and turn on cinematic mode with Chaseplane and go about my day. If you are looking for a dedicated router, something like the Beryl AX for Glinet is a great performer.

TU-154 coming from FlightSim Studio AG
And if their 3D modellers are employed, you're suggesting they should.. fire them? Then when they've fired the modellers, spend money on hiring programmers, spending 6 months acclimating them to the codebase. Only to finally finish the E-Jets, left with a team only consisting of programmers, which you now need to fire because you need modellers, animators, sound designers etc for the next project. As oppossed to utilising their current workforce to start working on the next form of cash flow, where they are best suited? Not to mention adding more programmers to a situation doesn't suddenly equate to faster development times. This is fairly simple project management stuff in most businesses, it really isn't that difficult to fathom why FSS is doing what they're doing.

Yeah let’s get the art team to work on systems cause that’s a great use of your workforce. that 3D modeller will make a great contribution to the autopilot rework.

CSS B737-300&400 to be released soon
While alot of your complaints are valid, the LNAV/VNAV/AT have been pretty solid. I'm not saying this is you but a lot of complaints I've seen are people treating it like an NG, and the classics perform a little differently. If you're on the discord feel free to tell us exactly what's going on and hopefully can help sort out the issue. FYI I am not a dev.

Multiple Jetways coming soon!
it's 4 jetways, I imagine it's in whatever combination you want.

[TEASER] Something very different is coming
While I can see you've been very supportive of your passenger program, making a teaser about a teaser just seems odd to me. Furthermore I'm to assume that after months of development you've managed to achieve what VoxATC, SI and BATC are still working on? While I'm happy to see more competition, I'd have more interest if something tangible was shown rather a text post. Like you've said, eventually you'll post videos, pictures etc. Though I wonder why not just wait till then to make a much bigger impact, particularly with the avsim community which more than often leans on the side of pessimism. In any case, I'll keep my eye out and wishing the best to add more to the ATC space. I'm more than happy to be pleasantly surprised cause at the end of the day, customers win.

CSS B737-300&400 to be released soon
Imo it’s not yet worth the $120 price tag. For the most part regarding A-B flying it gets the job done. A lot of the issue I’m finding is people treating it like an NG and expecting the same capabilities. Also the aircraft is a proper cold and dark, EVERYTHING is off including radios, which catches off some people. Theres a few issues still like switches don’t support mouse scroll but knobs do. Opt/max or step climbs isn’t implemented. The FD is a little slow to react. The charts page on the EFB is a little flaky. Performance isn’t great. However all of these issues the dev team is hashing out. You got neat features like some lights and lorry switches will shake into different places while you taxi, the CRT screens have that ever slight shutter effect which is cool. The weather radar is affected by ground returns. There’s a takeoff card that’s populated in the centre pedestal from the EFB to help with inputs on the MCDU. You got IRS drift and auto DME updating. I’ve been running a couple flights with it and having a good time. However I’m desperately waiting for the sound package coming this month. For $5 you can have a some decent fun. Though to be clear there is some work to do but the devs are clearly putting in the work for this past year.

CSS B737-300&400 to be released soon
The same thing occurred with the tristar when V1 was streaming it. Why that happens I haven’t got a clue. They will be released later on as $10 addons that require ownership of the passenger equivalents. Though I’m not sure if it’ll work like the TFDI model where it’s vice versa

CSS B737-300&400 to be released soon
Someone else on the discord was experiencing this and turns out they had a FFB yoke which was interfering with the systems. If you have one try disabling the FFB portion of your yoke? Just a guess as it’s the only report I saw of the plane doing 360s For context I’m not a dev.

Another new flightplanner for MSFS2024 - Preflightly
Ok I tried it. tldr; uninstalled, vibe coded software that needs more time in the oven. Upon downloading the app it requested that I signed up. I cannot imagine why I need an account to organise my addons but whatever, I persisted to fully give it a chance. This isn't even mentioned on the FAQ page of your website, that's hugely annoying. My initial assumption was correct, It scans your community folder, then will copy everything from your community folder to your designated mod folder and will create a sym link. I'm sorry but this is an idiotic approach. Not really sure how it even makes sense Of course the copying failed, because this approach doesn't make any sense, everything in the community folder is encrypted and doesn't work when copied outside of it (If you're using MS store version). It didn't say why copying failed. Since nothing was copied, nothing worked and it attempted to scan my community folder again This program require administrative rights, why? Addon linker doesn't I proceeded to uninstall the program. This has all the hallmarks of someone with an idea and a claude subscription but no actual engineering experience. It's a very pretty app but functionally flawed. However, as this is an early access product I'll see what it's like in a few months cause I like the look of it as-well as the addon checklist feature. If the developer is reading this forum post, my tips are Remove the account sign up requirement, there's no tangible need for it though if you have future plans, make the account requirement optional. If you do decide to remove the account requirement, delete the details of those who've signed up in accordance with GDPR. The initial setup approach is abrasive and doesn't make sense, it should be a drop in replacement for addon linker meaning, let me select my mods folder then you scan it as-well as my community folder. Detect existing links as-well as external links like those made from GSX. Do not force me to move everything to a mod folder as there's certain addons like aircraft which default installing in the community folder. Let me be in control much like addon linker does. Your uninstaller leaves registry and prefetch items on my machine. You need to fix that. I realised they have a suggestion box, I've left my feedback there.

Another new flightplanner for MSFS2024 - Preflightly
This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. all of my addons, except for aircraft sit on a separate drive and I use addonlinker to create the sym link. The above instructions are suggestions are saying I should put all of my addons back in the community folder and preFlight is going to do what.. Copy them back out to some other folder then create a sym link? Seems like double work. Unless I'm not reading this correctly. If I am understanding correctly though, I think the better approach is for this program to allow me to designate my addon folder, scan my community folders and detect what is a symlink and what is not. So the transition from addon linker to this program is WAY more seamless.. I'm actually going to try it out and see if my understanding is wrong. cause I especially like the addon checklist for a route. A few times I've forgotten to activate an airport for my route and this would be nice.

PMDG DC-6 Update
Just a reminder Nav Canada is an independent body not governed by any political party and it's structure ensures that it can't be interfered with by lobbying groups. This was bound to happen regardless of who was in power as nav canada themselves determined they were unsustainable in terms of costs. Some of still kept for redundancy purpose, similar to the MON in FAA land. I love flying VORs as much as the next person, but as a pilot of 40 years, watching navigation evolve through the years, YOU of all people should know that GNSS is making for safer skies. Anyway, there's always mods like this one https://flightsim.to/addon/72415/worldwide-update-decommissioned-navigation-aids to help fill the gap for the decommissioned units that have been lost over the years.
