The spark is gone: Buying addons vs actually flying them
It's situation like this where I felt Claude kinda saved my interest. Recently I learned of the BOAC Speedbird route map I then asked Claude to build me a route starting from London and ending in Sydney using this route map. There was a few adjustments, for example Bowen is just a grass strip haha. Anyway I used this route to fly the Fokker with (since there was a British Airways livery), it was an absolutely fantastic way to get familiar with the aircraft and essentially travel half the world and see so many new places. It took me 2 weeks doing about 1 flight a day but I did it and was extremely gratifying but I feel really familiar with the F100 now. It might not be accurate but it seemed reasonably faithful and gave me a mission of sorts. Now I'm doing the same thing with TWA and the Maddog to finally take time and learn the marconi unit.

Synaptic A220 Streaming now
Those are not the only third parties. It seems you keep missing my point so I’ll just leave it alone.
-
Synaptic A220 Streaming now
Because synaptic implementing it does not automatically mean third parties will at the same time so then it becomes further waiting. The better approach is to implement hoppie now and whenever this new CPDLC is ready make it optional as devs like SI and BATC can support it gradually. While a lot of us aren’t a fan with the current hoppie approach, from an accuracy standpoint, it’s what’s currently widely adopted and there’s no telling how long it’ll take for this new solution to be adopted.

Synaptic A220 Streaming now
It's okay to be happy and praise the good about a product but also acknowledge some of it's shortcomings. CPDLC is important to a lot of people and was the reason for a lot the anger aimed towards PMDG when everyone else had done so.

If you could buy only 3 addons from now until FS2028...
Leonnardo maddog GSX AutoFPS But it AutoFPS doesn’t count then the upcoming 741 from PMDG.

Synaptic A220 Streaming now
The default WXR has an incorrect projection for the ND style used by Airbus and The A220 Avionics suite. Its not a matter of whether the WXR is accurate or not, the projection is the problem. WT has access to things external developers don't which may be why they're implementing the WXR in the Praetor. They may be able to configure it using APIs that aren't publicly available to devs.

Synaptic A220 Streaming now
You're joking right? Was borderline an early access product No GPWS PMS didn't sequence in accordance to their own guides Pressurisation/temperature flat out did not work correctly TMS was woefully unreliable, same for the ATS, couldn't be trusted for an autoland G/S capture was a 50/50 Sub pages missing from the PMS despite being discussed in their guides No progressive-loading FE Engineer incorrectly configuring the plane Autobrake didn't work That's just off the top of my head (I reported quite a bit more as did others), I'm grateful for the continuous support ini has given the product post launch but to say the launch was excellent? I hope thats a joke

PMDG 777 v Fenix A320
Don't really understand the question, they're entirely different planes so what is there to compare? They're both good planes.

Anyone With the Virpil B-Jet Yoke
I accidentally short-circuited a motherboard in my CM3. They offered to fix it for me (pay shipping costs) or just send me the new mobo. I opted for the latter and replaced it. Fantastic company.

What is the life expectancy of FS2024?
I can't imagine any reason to do that. It's like speculating that xbox game pass for PC is getting scrapped too.

What is the life expectancy of FS2024?
I didn't vote cause it's not really a thought in my head. I'm enjoying myself now with the money I spent now. I can't exactly expect this to last forever as if with anything in this world and eventually Microsoft is going to finish this cycle and release another product and eventually I'll move to that and have fun too. None of these sims are perfect and they all have their set of problems, but with each release, I'm struggling to argue if it's something to go back to. Would I go back to P3D? and in turn would I go back to FSX, goodness no. Lastly... none of the purchases I've made, except for hardware (even that will need to be upgraded at some point, would I consider an investment). I bought them to have fun in this hobby and that I am right now. At the end of the day, FS2020, P3D and FSX still work and you can still have fun. However it's understandable that commercial entities are moving away from them.

JustFlight Fokker F70/F100 Release Date: Thursday, June 25th
When you enter your FROM/TO the IRS position is set to the center of the airport. You'd need to adjust it to be the exact point where you are. Yes the FMS is essentially the same in the Airbus A300 and a precursor to EIS1 but if INIT B has not been populated before engine start then you essentially "complete" it on the FUEL PRED page, so the FMS has the necessary information to build a path.

CSS B737-300&400 freighters inbound
Personally I use spad so I can’t answer but you can find out with the $5 rental? Or ask on the discord.

CSS B737-300&400 freighters inbound
I couldn’t say I use chaseplane simbrief imports have been implemented for a while now. With the most recent update the AT maintains FMC speed great. No issues with the VNAV either pending you don’t treat it like an NG.

Mscenery has been removed from MSFS Marketplace
What difference does it make? Personally I don't see why people are rejoicing on this as a win. There's nothing stopping mscenery from rebranding and doing the same thing. A better post would've been a revision of requirements on posting on the marketplace, descriptions that accurately depict the product, pictures that actually portray the product. If submissions to the marketplace can't adhere then they are denied. Furthermore reviews and ratings on products should be verified or at-least the review should contain some information, how long has the reviewer flown the plane (Someone who flew for 5 minutes is not someone's opinion im going to listen to), what are their PC specs etc. Similar to Steam's review system. Mscenery is simply the symptom of a poorly managed marketplace and banning them is a bandaid measure to make simmers happy temporarily. It doesn't fix things.

I really like BeyondATC BUT....
I'm not sure what feature, BATC released that would constitute as scope creep. Traffic and airport runway operations is a fundamental part of the Air Traffic Control process, this is a puzzling statement, what are you talking about? I really would like to see a piece of software that hasn't had several rewrites. It's a fundamental part of being a SWE, the ability to realize you're software as it currently stands is limiting to the vision you've set out. Especially with something like ATC, I mean just look at VoxATC. It's been in development for near 5-6 years at this point, I can guarantee they've had their fair share of rewrites, the only difference is you have the ability to be a part of that due to the early access program. Considering every area of BATC interconnects with other systems of itself, I really wonder how you would architect a system with code isolation here and minimize regressions. No area in ATC operates in a vacuum. Which is exactly why BATC has done a survey as-well as built emulators to help fix bugs. Early Access isn't a partnership, it's simply an opportunity to have an open view in the development process, which can often be ugly.

I am curious how voxatc will stack up when it decides to come out

interesting new camera view app
Honestly in ‘24 no issues at all, they even got rid of the double cursor that was in 2020. I actually lied there’s one minor issue, when you press start flight, your camera won’t work for like 2 seconds while chaseplane initialises. That’s pretty much it.
