With the troubles of all their other airplanes, not going near this.

  • Because they're business? the ini one will be higher fidelity their last 2 aircraft had good releases. Your loss. Their last 2 aircraft had no real troubles at launch.

Yes!

Summer ends on the 22nd, so it's gotta be out soon.

Will this need a 5090 super TI 100G gpu to run smoothly?? 😅 Just kidding.

I'll tune in to see whats in store.

B450 Tomahawk Max / Ryzen 7 5800x3D / RTX 3060ti 8G / Noctua NH-UI21S Max Cooling / 32G Patriot RAM / 1TB NVME / 450G SSD / Thrustmaster TCA & Throttle Quadrant / Xiaomi 32" Wide Curved Monitor 1440p 144hz

With the troubles of all their other airplanes, not going near this.

I remain confused and disappointed in ini's decision to develop an A380, when we already have one--a high-fidelity free one at that! Granted, it's not available for Xbox or PS5 players, so I wonder if their assumption is that sales on those platforms alone will justify their production costs? Because why would anyone who's on PC and has an interest in the A380 not have already used the FBW one? And if so why would any of those people want to pay full price for the exact same plane again? Especially given ini's poor record of early releases.

Personally I've enjoyed all of their planes up to now but there's no chance I'll ever be buying this. Really wish they had instead developed something that isn't already out there.

The FBW is the lower gross weight version - 510 tonnes v 575 tonnes (I think those are the numbers). The FBW still cannot fly an RNP on it's own - these are 2 reasons I am waiting to fly the iniBuilds.

Wake me up if they ever make an A330. This 380 thing is just too ugly 😅

They did, it's a default aircraft for 2024, and well made one at that.

Maybe not as high fidelity as the A340. But it works, it does all the approaches.

I rather not comment on those 330 lol. I'll just wait for something usable for real.

Did a 4hr flight coming into land, wasm at 150ft engines stuck in auto thrust mode. Few months before completed a flight no problem. Only difference did an RNAV approach compared to ILS. It's not a bad aircraft to fly, wouldn't mind a high fidelity one though.

"their last 2 aircraft had good releases." Even with all the wasm crashes still and bugs reported.

No doubt Tuskin38 will praise the A380 no matter what.

Given what they've shared so far (https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/37603-inibuilds-a380-airliner-development-update-august-2026/), especially when it comes to flight and ground dynamics, I am certainly interested in this despite FBW's great free offering (on paper ini's A380 def does seem higher fidelity). Will wait to see independent reviews and then likely get it as long as there are no major surprises. I'd agree with others that outside of the initial A350 release issues, their A340 has been a more solid offering and smoother release roll-out. Also looking forward to their A350 v2.

As for a high fidelity A330, the Toliss + Aerosoft announcement sounds promising, but seems a long way out.
