I'm really enjoying the MadDog 20th Anniversary Edition!
From the Discord it sounds like (ha!) we shouldn't expect it anytime soon. The guy working on it had a hard drive crash a while back that lost most of his work. Since then he's been mostly focused on some other project that he has contracted to complete and that one is taking precedence over the Maddog work.

How to improve the visuals?
I explained how to easily use ReShade to improve the colors and sharpness here, and I'm still using this method: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/until-nvidia-filters-work-again-a-temporary-solution-using-reshade/672513

Phenom 300 soon? (released 18 May 26)
This should be fun: can anyone concisely and objectively describe what makes FSR planes special? I own the Sting and the 500; I thoroughly respect the passion that Raul has in both creating his planes and interacting with the community; and I almost certainly plan to buy the Phenom. But I will admit that I never quite got on with the 500 in FS20, probably mostly due to too many other planes to juggle at the time; and recently when I tried it again in FS24, it seemed like it was good but had been too obviously eclipsed by BlackSquare and A2A products--admittedly not a fair comparison due to the amount of time that has elapsed since the 500 came out. In short, I don't feel I've ever quite understood what people find so special about these planes but I would like to hear others' thoughts on it.

SU5 has thoroughly boogered the vJoy device driver
I'd highly encourage anyone encountering this problem to go over to the official forums and vote in this topic in the hopes that it will get noticed by the devs: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vjoy-device-disappeared-with-su5/758151/17

Work around for Nvidia app filters
But it installs into each specific game folder; how could one have any effect on another? I've used it with multiple installed games at the same time with no conflict.

Work around for Nvidia app filters
Some smart and helpful (and no doubt very handsome to boot) guy on the official forums explained how to stop wasting time with the Nvidia filters nonsense and instead use ReShade to get the same effects, might be worth checking out and trying: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/until-nvidia-filters-work-again-a-temporary-solution-using-reshade/672513/19

Classic Aircraft Simulations Piper J-3... A jewell ?
As I continue to rationalize picking up the 2024 Kodiak--I had it in 2020 so it'll only be $20 and thus is more about 'hangar overload' than the price--I was researching other floatplanes last night and came across similar great reviews for the Cub. I guess this thread is a sign that I need to now pick it up! Thanks a lot @jcomm😅

Airliner Descent Management Tips - PMDG 737
Surprised that this thread hasn't had any responses yet, but just wanted to thank you for posting this link and I look forward to checking out your videos. I for one appreciate every time we have real airliner pilots come by and try to share some of their knowledge with us.

BlackSquare Caravan Professional: Update By Nick Cyganski
Actually Black Square already has it in several of their planes: the TBM 850 has the KNS-80 while their Baron & Bonanza and Dukes have the KNS-81 (which I believe is identical aside from lacking an internal DME).

WinWing FMS/MCDU
GregP replied to dbw1's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcThey're quite easy to use: - Download Winwing's SimAppPro to update their firmware, then close SimAppPro - Download Mobiflight - Download a profile for the airplane/hardware combo you're using from Flightsim.to, and open it in MobiFlight, then 'Run' the profile - Hop into MSFS and enjoy your new toys!

Frame Gen+Triple Monitors in MSFS 2024?
Up until a few months ago I was running a triple 43" 4K monitor (plus a 1440 monitor above them) setup on a 4090. I never used the 'separate window' option or whatever it's called that renders each monitor individually because the proportions never looked right and performance was terrible. Instead I used NvidiaSurround to create a single large desktop (this also lets frame gen work across all three whereas, as you mentioned above, pretty sure it will only work on the center monitor if you run as separate windows) and initially tried running full screen on that at 3x4k resolution; that too had lower performance than I wanted so I then settled on running in a window of 2x4K size, thus leaving the sides open for other apps. This also helped minimize the stretching that gets really extreme at the edges of such a high resolution like 3x4k. I also then upgraded to a 5090 and this helped a lot also, giving me another 25 to 30% FPS across the board. Then I found a deal on an Acer 57" ultra-widescreen monitor (2x4K) and traded that for my triple screen setup. The advantage there was that it was one seamless window with no bezels. I used that for a few months but then the narrow height of the monitor compared to the 43" monitors I was using before, and the stretching that remained at the edges, motivated me to buy the LG 45GX950A '5k2k' monitor and I think I've finally found my sweet spot! Compared to the Z57, I get 25 to 40% better FPS, and of course there's vastly less stretching at the edges. Certainly in terms of 'wow factor' these two changes both looked like downgrades, but overall I'm quite happy with my current setup. I realize that doesn't necessarily help you but just thought I would share my experience. Overall, I would say a 5090 can adequately run a triple screen 4K setup if you're willing to drop LODs etc., but is definitely improved by trying the 2x4K window option I was using. A 4090 is, at least in my experience, marginal for 3x4k, but I know other people have found it acceptable so maybe I just have less tolerance for low FPS.
