  1. A while back the developer had some sort of computer crash where he lost a huge amount of work and basically needed to start over completely. In the meantime he was contracted to make the new sound set for the CSS 737 classic series, so he needs to finish that up first before putting much time into the Maddog. Bottom line is my guess is the sound pack is still several months off.
  2. So far I only get that connecting message when I press escape to go into the sim menus but then when I come back it reconnects. That makes sense to me, but I don't think I've seen the message otherwise.
  3. I bought it and have been using it with the Sovereign's EFB with no issues. However, the default FS24 EFB 'tablet' does not seem to work properly with GlassOut - it works only as long as you have the EFB open in-game. If you close the EFB, the EFB on your external tablet or screen freezes. It becomes responsive again when you re-open the EFB in-game. This is unlike how it works with plane-specific EFBs like that in the Sovereign, where you can hide or close the EFB in-game and still be able to operate it on your tablet/screen with GlassOut.
  4. From the Discord it sounds like (ha!) we shouldn't expect it anytime soon. The guy working on it had a hard drive crash a while back that lost most of his work. Since then he's been mostly focused on some other project that he has contracted to complete and that one is taking precedence over the Maddog work.
  5. I explained how to easily use ReShade to improve the colors and sharpness here, and I'm still using this method: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/until-nvidia-filters-work-again-a-temporary-solution-using-reshade/672513
  6. This should be fun: can anyone concisely and objectively describe what makes FSR planes special? I own the Sting and the 500; I thoroughly respect the passion that Raul has in both creating his planes and interacting with the community; and I almost certainly plan to buy the Phenom. But I will admit that I never quite got on with the 500 in FS20, probably mostly due to too many other planes to juggle at the time; and recently when I tried it again in FS24, it seemed like it was good but had been too obviously eclipsed by BlackSquare and A2A products--admittedly not a fair comparison due to the amount of time that has elapsed since the 500 came out. In short, I don't feel I've ever quite understood what people find so special about these planes but I would like to hear others' thoughts on it.
  7. I'd highly encourage anyone encountering this problem to go over to the official forums and vote in this topic in the hopes that it will get noticed by the devs: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/vjoy-device-disappeared-with-su5/758151/17
  8. But it installs into each specific game folder; how could one have any effect on another? I've used it with multiple installed games at the same time with no conflict.
  9. Some smart and helpful (and no doubt very handsome to boot) guy on the official forums explained how to stop wasting time with the Nvidia filters nonsense and instead use ReShade to get the same effects, might be worth checking out and trying: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/until-nvidia-filters-work-again-a-temporary-solution-using-reshade/672513/19
  10. As I continue to rationalize picking up the 2024 Kodiak--I had it in 2020 so it'll only be $20 and thus is more about 'hangar overload' than the price--I was researching other floatplanes last night and came across similar great reviews for the Cub. I guess this thread is a sign that I need to now pick it up! Thanks a lot @jcomm😅
  11. Surprised that this thread hasn't had any responses yet, but just wanted to thank you for posting this link and I look forward to checking out your videos. I for one appreciate every time we have real airliner pilots come by and try to share some of their knowledge with us.
  12. Great FS24 photo's [sic], thank you for sharing! One might reasonably wonder, however, why on earth nearly a million plastic spatulas were suddenly needed anywhere in Canada? What on earth is going on up there that led to such a shortage--or sudden need?
  13. Actually Black Square already has it in several of their planes: the TBM 850 has the KNS-80 while their Baron & Bonanza and Dukes have the KNS-81 (which I believe is identical aside from lacking an internal DME).
  14. There doesn't seem to be an updated manual for the 2024 version, but A/T (and everything else) is explained in the 2020 manual that is still available here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C0oG8DNpj5ybGnPtULxA9eQ64i9S8G1m
  15. They're quite easy to use: - Download Winwing's SimAppPro to update their firmware, then close SimAppPro - Download Mobiflight - Download a profile for the airplane/hardware combo you're using from Flightsim.to, and open it in MobiFlight, then 'Run' the profile - Hop into MSFS and enjoy your new toys!
