Agreed; I don't think it's fair to say someone is lazy because they didn't make the time to sit through a 3+ hour video. Also, although I definitely appreciate the time that was put into that, and Forder himself seems like a great and knowledgeable guy, at least for me watching that video (and I watched the whole thing) was quite frustrating, with the excess of rambling and repetition of comments on the plane and other things that absolutely ballooned the length of the video way beyond what it needed to be. I feel like all of that information could've been communicated in an hour or less. Regardless, for me the point remains that it's a shame that most developers don't take the time to either a) provide a clear startup to shutdown full flight tutorial in their manuals or b) do same in a concise video, and not rely on some long form stream to do it. Anyway, enough complaining from me on this, as I too am absolutely in love with the Hawker and having a blast with it.

In the same vein, but more fundamentally, I'm baffled at how such a long, detailed manual lacks any actual description of how the plane should be operated from startup to shutdown. JustFlight clearly is the exception to the rule here in that ALL their manuals include a full tutorial flight; why doesn't anyone else do this? Highly detailed systems descriptions are great but what use are they without an explanation of how they should be used in al actual flight? So frustrating.

I flew the FBW A380 last night and no problems at all. Framerate is good, graphically it's gorgeous, everything seems to work just fine. Sure, it doesn't have a working OIT, can't do RNP approaches, is the 510t GW version rather than the 575t, and I'm sure has several other limitations too. But for a free product, for me it absolutely more than scratches the itch of wanting to fly this monster. I love ini and happy that console users will now have a legit A380, but for me on PC, this version has no appeal for me given the huge number of quality addons I already own that all deserve more time spent with them.

I get your point that they want to be the biggest name for that family of aircraft, but my god, let's all hope and pray that they don't take on PMDG's glacial update pace or below average graphical quality! INI has them beat in those respects by several orders of magnitude.

I remain confused and disappointed in ini's decision to develop an A380, when we already have one--a high-fidelity free one at that! Granted, it's not available for Xbox or PS5 players, so I wonder if their assumption is that sales on those platforms alone will justify their production costs? Because why would anyone who's on PC and has an interest in the A380 not have already used the FBW one? And if so why would any of those people want to pay full price for the exact same plane again? Especially given ini's poor record of early releases. Personally I've enjoyed all of their planes up to now but there's no chance I'll ever be buying this. Really wish they had instead developed something that isn't already out there.

I would very highly recommend that anyone with an FFB stick try out this program. Last week I finally rationalized picking up a Moza AB6 (greatly aided by getting a $100 discount on an open box item at my local MicroCenter!) specifically because I had stumbled across this app and was extremely impressed with the quality of the documentation and how easy it seemed to get set up, in contrast to some of the comments I had seen on the Moza software. While I was testing things last week, at one point I was going back-and-forth with the developer for a few hours as he put out new betas in response to things I was seeing that I thought could be improved, super impressive! I finally started using the Moza software a few days later when I was playing around with DCS, but overall I very much prefer FFB Bridge and will likely use that alone in MSFS.

There's nothing sneaky going on here; Hangar Studio 713 is the marketplace publisher for the PMS GTN 750, with the permission of PMS, and PMS is presumably getting paid. It wouldn't make sense to package the 750 with the Dolphin because the 750 is constantly getting updated. This is why buying in the marketplace is the easiest method of managing it, as it will automatically update without you having to re-download it from the PMS website every single time. For me this was more than worth the five dollars that it cost.

For those who, like me, want a quick and easy way to access the autopilot upper modes through a touchscreen, I verified last night that the GlassOut app works perfectly for this with the Taog tablet 'tPad'.

@UrgentSiesta , the first user review on the official MSFS forums was pretty unfavorable and on Discord there are several reports of broken/missing LODs and shadows missing. Are you not seeing any of these bugs? I was interested when I first saw the announcement but decided against it after seeing all these issues so quickly reported, and it seems like updates from this developer are few and far between.

I too am using a Gladiator NXT with springs removed and just the friction tightened. I'm using it with the 'Fly-Through Off' checked, and it seems to work just fine. I haven't tried to fly without using TR, but with TR it's great. I've only had time for one flight so far and was noticing some odd drift or abrupt movement once in a while, but I think that may have been down to my friction not high enough to completely hold the stick in place each time I released TR.

Doesn't look like there's any custom keybinds from Taog for this and I haven't tried the default bindings yet, so I'm not sure. Sorry!

Sure, I get it that some people are more visual learners. My comment wasn't directed at you, or anyone specific for that matter, and I didn't mean any offense. I was just sharing my confusion that for a helicopter this complex, why a prospective buyer (who is almost certainly aware from prior experience that trim and AFCS will be confusing) wouldn't proactively seek out the manual and go through it before just jumping in and trying to takeoff. This is absolutely a recipe for frustration. It seemed to me from some of the comments on here that some people were oblivious to the fact that there was a full manual and key binding guide that pretty much answered all of their questions. So guys, helpful suggestion, if you haven't already done so, seriously, RTFM! 😄 Not that it will be the perfect source for everyone, and I too was happy to see Matt Crawford quickly get a video out explaining things, but it's a much better place to start from than zero.

If only there were a comprehensive and well-written manual and key binding guide available that explained how all this stuff works.... Oh wait! 😄

A while back the developer had some sort of computer crash where he lost a huge amount of work and basically needed to start over completely. In the meantime he was contracted to make the new sound set for the CSS 737 classic series, so he needs to finish that up first before putting much time into the Maddog. Bottom line is my guess is the sound pack is still several months off.
