  1. The most important area for me, the depiction options, these are the settings I use based off my system - Depiction Smoothing Rate - 22 Periodic Theme Reload Interval - 10 Cloud Density - 65
  2. sorry mate, just seeing this post now. When I'm back home later I will grab them and post!
  3. Yeah there were major issues with LatinVFR's Madrid, FeelThere's LaGuardia, all fixed by turning on PG. There were a couple of others at smaller airports but I can't for the life of me remember where, I obvs never returned to them but they're buried in the log book somewhere.
  4. Without PG enabled for me I get random terrain issues such as unpassable walls on taxi ways or terrain drops of 5 or 6 feet which cripple the aircraft. There used to be a "ditch" in the landing zone of rwy 22 at La Guardia which made for interesting landings. PG turned on cleared all that up for me.
  5. FWIW, I didn't use ActiveSky for a long time but used AI to give me the best possible settings so transitions etc would be smoother etc and I have to say I've been really impressed. I've been using it ever since in tandem with Rex Atmos. I don't notice transitions at all anymore.
  6. I may have missed whether this was going to be available for 2020 buried in the last 13 pages! Anyone know whats happening there? ATL looked fun last night on Vatsim, one approach controller and about 50 flights! 😅
  7. Just to update on the issue I was having - the latest update 4.0.2 cleaned it up. Back in business. I like the new UI. Onwards!
  8. I haven"t tried the new update yet but I can"t get the GSX menu to load when at the gates, it loads when I clear the runway to pick a gate but then won't load again when I arrive. When I initially loaded into the cockpit I would get an error saying the GSX engine wasn't running and to restart Couatl. I would do that and get stuck on the menu loading screen. Its the 1st time I've had issues so I know its only temporary. A new install didn't fix it so I'm hoping the update cleans it up.
  9. Since the new update, GSX doesn't load properly, I get a constant rotating emblem with "Loading Menu" and nothing happens. Just before that I get all the green loading bars at 100% then the loading menu part starts. I've tried restarting Coautl multiple times, its just stuck on the loading menu part.
  10. Just to clear up any possible misunderstandings - meaning those who are playing 2020 are having a good time and those playing 2024 are too! 😉
  11. I don't see myself needing the switch for this very reason. I turn on my PC and get consistent performance every time, and have been for over 3 years now. After years of chasing the "the perfect FPS" threads I now have memorable experiences every time I fly. No point risking that. The vast majority are enjoying both sims and long may it continue.
  12. I'm of the opinion that if you don't put the same effort into payware these days that the likes of Flightbeam or Inibuilds do for example then you should make your work freeware, just like hundreds of developers do on Flight.to. That doesn't look any better than a lot of Asobo's default airports so charging for it isn't on in my book. There's even a free enhancement to the default on flight.to that makes it look as good as the above. 25 pounds really is a joke.
  13. Did another flight last night from Muscat to Chennai, about 4 hours. Faultless flight, no noticeable stutters or anomalies. Bless my modest system. Over 2 years now since my last CTD.
  14. This has happened to me a handful of times over the years and it was always because of a 3rd party livery conflict.
  15. The update failed, which automatically deleted it, but the reinstall only took about 5 minutes!
  16. Successfully downloaded the FSLTL update in the end, went ahead with the WU and then did a flight with no issues barring a few stutters out of Dubai (which seems the norm of late out of this airport, maybe scenery related). Granted it was a short flight but it went normally.
  17. I'm starting to become skeptical of this FSLTL update. Normally the update is pain free, usually completes in a couple of minutes but I've been at this for a few hours now. On my first attempt I got an error message saying there wasn't enough space for the update even though its on a big disk and I'm on my second full download again. Once I'm into the sim and do the WU I'll report back, Bob.
  18. Looks great, I just need to add this and the 75 to my hangar and I can die a happy man.
  19. "Hi guys, I eventually tried driving my new car to my home town but guess what? I arrived in one piece. Now the front wheel fell off when I turned onto the highway, and I barely missed crashing into another car because the tail lights don't work, but I managed to wrestle the car under control (sorry, there are issues with the axle) and make it up the road to the nearest gas station. I filled it up with gas but then a warning light came on and smoke started rising from the engine. Somehow it started again and I managed to drive it another 25 miles before the smoke turned from black to white and I couldn't see where I was going. I lost all electronics as I turned onto my street and I rolled to a stop 100 meters from my house, just as flames appeared under the hood. I'm going to try again tomorrow but I LOVE MY CAR, it is so much better than the last one that worked absolutely perfectly."
  20. Exactly. I object, your honor, to the idea that 2024 has made 2020 look like its 20 years old (someone typed that). Now everyone back to flying.
  21. 16X is a cure for this issue as far as I'm aware
  22. Thanks, Noel. That's a thoughtful assessment. Just the kind of info I needed, as opposed to the standard HAVE YOU SEEN THE STONESSS or the TREEEEES? WHAT ARE YOU, STOOPID? OH, YOURE ONE OF THOSE TYPES. Have a good weekend, guys, and enjoy your flying
