Would love to have a comparison with the MSFS integrated weather engine...

The only real difference would be of the transitions are not noticeable. I'll wait till someone other flips the coin

I bet it will be coming with the same limitations as any other 3rd party weather addon: you only get one cloud coverage at a time and you need transitions. Whether they are smooth or not, they will never be able to depict the weather here in Switzerland correctly e.g.

Until Asobo open up the API (they probably never will) then all these apps are doing the same thing over and over again, I'll stick with default live and when that's acting up (which is often) I'll continue using Active Sky.

did few more testing. I does have cloud popping, and the overall quality of clouds is bad (i have settings on ultra). Yep, it might just be Active sky

I often see feedback on Weather injector that complain on "the quality of clouds is bad", but at the end of the day these injector only ask the simulator to generate - with the same MSFS textures and graphical engine - clouds. They don't add there's own "cloud" (texture), right ?

In the description it says it downloads and injects the whole planet at once, or something along those lines. ~$30USD….already rolled the dice on the CSS737, and that’s turned out poorly. I’ll leave this one to someone more brave than I.

I'm way past being seduced by these addons. Give me MSFS weather any time and move on.

What’s happening with X-Enviro these days? Is that available for 2024?

The biggest drawback of ActiveSky in 2020/2024 is lack of transitions. Those who break the spell and implement it will get my money.

I'd be suspicious that they spend almost all of their marketing approach on disparaging Active Sky.

If HiFi hasn't been able to accomplish smooth transitions in MSFS, there's no way a no-name dev has figured it out. Their website is a lot of technical sounding babble and yet not a single picture or video.....
