What is the life expectancy of FS2024?
MSFS 2024 is sort of the equivalent of FS 2000 (2024 much better now than on release). I can only hope MSFS 2028, if it happens, is the equivalent of FS 2004. But I do hope all addons would work more seamlessly on the next version. Also, the entire weather system needs to be reworked...ie new clouds, atmospheric lighting, thunderstorms etc. I feel that would be the big 'selling point' for a new version. I don't forsee much improvement with that happening in MSFS 2024. They have the ground figured out, lets get the sky right!

FS2024 - How to Eliminate "Melted Buildings"?
Yeah, PG cities will have the actual realistic buildings (which may or may not look good/melted). With PG off, the sim uses autogen buildings so you will lose any unique building structures as the sim will just place generic building models although footprints should be similar to real world.. SamScene did nice rendition of the city of Toronto that I use...I actually enjoy flying in/out of CYYZ.

FS2024 - How to Eliminate "Melted Buildings"?
I recall flying in the early Beta version of 2020 and being stunned flying around the city of Boston. Crisp, perfect buildings at that time but I think they were slightly downgraded on official release and have worsened even further since then (likely for console performance)...similar to how the weather and night lighting was been slowly downgraded and made worse over time compared to early 2020 builds...

City Update 15: Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin
Oh wow..used to do the same thing but I had the Floppy version! Didn't one of the airports actually have "asphalt" runways. Most were just green with white outlines but I recall one of them actually had grey runways....😄

New Weather injector…Anyone try it?
That is a great addon..I wish the entire atmosphere could be ported to MSFS...

Say Intentions Expo Announcements
I learned something new today. I knew there were different variants based on locations but I think I always referred to it as 'British'. In that case, I was hearing what I would say were far too many 'English' accents (or was it Scottish??) in the NYC/Mid-Atlantic area. It could happen I guess....😄

Say Intentions Expo Announcements
I did the 24hr trial over the weekend. The last time I tried it was 2 years ago. From strictly an ATC perspective, there was little to zero improvement from 2 years ago. A failed handoff on departure, repeated instructions once I was able to contact ATC in different voices, British accents nearly the entire time in the NE USA & fairly miserable vectors for an ILS approach. Brian is very good at the sales game for sure and is a good talker but this was disappointing...I really thought there would be some amount of ATC improvement from 2 years ago...lol. I guess that is why all the gimmicks are being shoehorned in to the program (of which I personally have no use for).....

Cessna Citation Sovereign+ tiller and rudder
Did you bind it to 'AP Off'? I think that's what you need to use instead of the Disconnect or Toggle.
-
Cessna Citation Sovereign+ tiller and rudder
If you have an AP disconnect button mapped, make sure you are using 'Autopilot Off' as that will also disengage the YD....
- C680+ Sovereign v1.0.4 is now out on MSFS-MP & Orbx

City Update 15: Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin
I initially removed it it but put it back in. I agree, it's a bit oversaturated, performance-heavy and the textures completely disappear when you are only a couple miles out(bad LOD's?) but I really don't care much for the new city update. I think it's the opposite of DD, it seems overly dark to me and the night lighting is of course disappointing as it is on all PG buildings.

[TEASER] Something very different is coming
To be fair, you may want to go back an re-read your very first few posts along with the title as it did come across as a marketing post. If you wanted constructive feedback, you should have titled the thread or wrote your initial post in a way that drove that kind of feedback. Instead, you only changed your tune after several here mentioned that maybe that would be a better approach. Or maybe you should have waited until you were further along and revealed closer to release. You kind of dug your own hole here....

City Update 15: Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin
Hmmm, I checked out Chicago and is it just me or does it not look very good?? The buildings all seem very 'dark' to me. I tried all times of day but it was kind of disappointing. I put my DRZ Chicago back in as that looks much better and maybe I was just used to that (??) These PG cities never do much for me since they begin to 'melt' and the night lighting is terrible. I did not notice any glaring issues having DRZ Chicago City installed with this new city update. I also spawned at DRZ KMDW and did not notice any problems but I did not spend much time there so cannot be 100% sure...

Phenom 300 soon? (released 18 May 26)
I just left them completely unbound and they will work how they are supposed to work but it sounds like you can in fact bind a button. They are not realistic if you need to use them in the air anyway, I have not needed them at all even though you do need plan to get below 180 for Flaps 1...

Why are my airports so empty
If you are using BATC to inject, check your settings there as you would not be using the AIG generated flight plans in that case. There are sliders for parked, departures, arrivals in BATC that can be adjusted.

[TEASER] Something very different is coming
Most ambitious aviation project "they" have ever undertaken and then releases a video of a default AI plane taxiing around with no audio and jerky camera movements.... Sorry, but this is one of the oddest product announcements I've ever seen....and it's not even clear what it even is! I'm surprised people are already asking how much this will cost...

[TEASER] Something very different is coming
The entire website is marketing AI solutions and not a word about flight simulation mentioned anywhere.....just bizarre. I'm not fully convinced this guy is even a human. Should probably be another section of the forums for promoting/marketing of products that don't exist......especially when the posts are written by AI bots...

Phenom 300 soon? (released 18 May 26)
To anyone having the landing issues/instability, try unbinding your spoilers from your hardware and test. It appears that might be a big part of the problem if it is set on an axis. They will not deploy and can cause other issues when landing. I think they have to be on a button. I had mine on my spoiler lever on Honeycomb since I usually just copy another aircraft profile over. Once I unbound the spoilers, the several landing tests I have done were much better. Raul is also working on a few more improvements as well...

It does for me after the latest update...

New Weather injector…Anyone try it?
If HiFi hasn't been able to accomplish smooth transitions in MSFS, there's no way a no-name dev has figured it out. Their website is a lot of technical sounding babble and yet not a single picture or video.....

Phenom 300 soon? (released 18 May 26)
Maybe to an extent, but I do think something is still not quite right with how it handles the landing and rollout. More frustrating is they (at least one vocal real-world pilot on the team) are totally dismissive of this and believe it was fixed in the last update and claim everything is by the numbers and there are no issues. Fair enough, but SWS did this with the PC-12 and it was basically unflyable due to the fact they were intent on being strictly on the numbers and refused to fix anything. Not sure if they ever fixed it as I had to hangar that aircraft long ago. I think you have to adapt some of these quirks to the sim and make some exceptions. I'm using rudder pedals with a -48% curve yet they are blaming hardware and curves. I can't imagine this on a joystick or XB controller! I do not experience the issue in any other similar aircraft (H-jet, Lear-35, C680, C750, etc) Numerous other IRL pilot on Discord are saying the same. An actual plane would never act like this on rollout and I have the behavior even with zero X-wind component. It is not every landing, maybe3 out of 4. The only workaround I have found as of now is to use 'AutoRudder' in the MSFS settings so I do believe the issue is still with the rudder dynamics. The Phenom is solid in every other aspect of flight...

Citation Sovereign+ Video Walkthrough
This thing is lovely. Just did a nice short trip as a test flight into KTEB. The sounds on this are fantastic (that PW engine start!) and worth the price of admission alone. Really nice handling plane, especially on takeoff and landing...an area the Phenom is currently lacking. I would say I am much happier than I thought I would be after the first flight and this will be in the biz jet rotation for sure!

Why do scenery devs model pizza boxes, malls, bedrooms...?
What does this have to do with the topic of airport interiors? Not sure why these AI(?) spam posts are getting so common on the forums....

Orbx Atlanta
I am a bit shocked that a well known developer that has been around a while and has done numerous airports is not familiar with joining meshes in their 3D program...if that is in fact the case here with ATL. Might explain my terrible performance at KBUR...
