I just bought the ORBX version last week, dohhh!!!!

I don't need every blade of grass or windowsill in the right place, mate! It looks fine to my eyes.

The LVFR version is indeed top quality. However, it does suffer from some pretty unplayable broken ground sections if PG is turned off. I'm talking 4 foot walls and drop offs from some of the taxi ways.

Yeah the thought of a 5 or 6 hour layover doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think the only airport I haven't enjoyed was KORD due to it being an absolute chaotic mess at the best of times! 😬

Yes! The best part of the holiday for me as a kid was the airport as opposed to the actual holiday. I still get the same feeling now as an adult. I just love being in and around airports.

I flew from KEGE to KORD last night in 2020 and it was a brilliant experience. Just butter from gate to gate with amazing weather visuals on approach. I reckon I'll be skipping 2024 and waiting for 2028 instead. You just know this money train is gonna keep on rolling and by then I'll have an upgraded rig. 😉

These comments are hilarious. You use a sim that has better trees and now you can feel the bumps in the runway when you land. Don't forget all the tech under the hood that 95% of simmers don't even understand. You're hardly jumping from the Sega Megadrive to Unreal Engine 5. Calm down.

How about, the changes for the average user are purely cosmetic and mostly not noticeable to someone who doesn't spend 90% of their time in a sim chasing perfect performance and just like to open the sim and fly instead. Currently MSFS2020 is the most stable its ever been and still looks and feels incredible, despite its 6 years of age. It could also be argued that there wasn't any real need for MSFS2024 so quick. It feels like updating a phone every 12 months. Is there any REAL need or is it just clever marketing that makes you THINK you need the new phone? More power to those currently on 2024 but saying people SHOULD be using a newer platform for no real quantifiable gain other than to go through months of re-organising everything again, and have better looking trees, and may not have anymore updates?! is a complete moot point. The sim works and looks great, what more could someone want?

Why do you have Airliner crew and Pilots activated for a flight with a Cessna? You can turn that off in the settings part of the app.

Just ignore it then and do your own thing. The only reason I know these people exist is because people like you mention it. Its not a "kids sim". Its whatever you get out of it on a personal level. Why cut off your nose to spite your face by looking at it through a flawed lens? Just enjoy flying yourself, I imagine thats why you purchased it in the first place.

Discord has fostered a mob clique that has been insufferable for a long time when it comes to flight simulation. Some of the "members" over on the Headwind page are just pure bred trolls. Best avoid.

Interesting for sure. I remember when posters started on 2024 the first thing mentioned was the quality of the trees and how everything looked so amazing. Fast forward a few months and things can't have been that great after all. There will always be room for 3rd party add ons I suppose.
