Yesterday at 04:11 PM1 day Please don't shout at me for being so 'sharp,' but I'm absolutely at the end of my tolerance level with this program. I know it's likely something to do at my end, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out. I had the same issue in MSFS2020 in Win10 as I am having now in 2024 with Win 11... losing connection, not now and again, but on every single flight. Today has taken the biscuit, I just gave up with it after having seven disconnects in the space of an hour! Ridiculous. I have tried everything suggested online. Reinstall, start as admin, add exe as an exclusion in Win AV, check simconnect, starting BATC correctly, once at the gate and in the VC, checked BATC status page... I am at a loss as to what the issue can be. If anyone has any idea, then I'd be happy to hear, otherwise, it's in the bin! Yesterday at 04:20 PM1 day I got a disconnect yesterday when I switched to premium voices so I switched back to local voices. Local voices work fine, no disconnects.

While I agree with you, it does say it "disconnects" its never an issue for me. Virtually every flight I get a box that says "BATC has disconnected" (or something like that) I just hit ok and move on. It seems to reconnect on its own with no issues.

Don't use basic voices, they are very unreliable; local voices are much better. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yesterday at 04:55 PM1 day Basic voices will be discontinued because the free provider is just too unreliable. They also have no or very bad accents. The local voices are generated locally (so no delay), derive directly from the premium voices and have very convincing accents. They are much closer to the premium voices than to the basic voices, so please all swith to the local voices. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

It's not just a question of hitting OK, as all the AI disappear too!Okay actually never seen that one before. Usually it's that people can't connect from the start because something kills the simconnect process (AV mostly). Your case is not something I've seen before. When it happens again, can you please check whether in the task manager a process called "simconnect_ws.exe" is still running? To be honest, if you're on Discord, I suggest you ping me over there; I'm not on Avsim every day, so I think I can try to help you better over at Discord. No guarantees, as it seems like you've already tried a lot of things, but I'll try my best For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yesterday at 05:47 PM1 day I'd say this must be your connection. I've had 2 work-free days this week and have got a flying in... all with BATC, in the UK (same as you). I've not had a single disconnect. What does happen occasionally is that if I start BATC too soon before I then start MSFS2024, when I try to connect BATC is says "connection can't be found". I have to close BATC, relaunch it, then everything is fine. This is before my flight, so has no impact on it. I've been flying today (which you seem to be referring to, with your problems, if I assume correctly) and there honestly hasn't been any disconnects, mid-session.Have you done some basic health checks of your broadband connection, eg. speed tests? 23 hours ago23 hr Reliability is a big part of the ATC choice for me. Nice voices are good, but on an IFR flight a disconnect at the wrong moment can ruin the whole session. That is one reason I still lean toward the more boring option that stays predictable with vectors and sequencing. I can live with less personality in the voices much more easily than I can live with losing ATC halfway through an arrival.

It's odd because it's the same problem I have always had with this program. As I say, it was the same before in Win10 with MSFS2020. I don't know where to go with this, crazy! BTW, this must be the longest 'early access' product I have ever used!
