Seems like VRAM is the culprit. One of you has a 5090, the other one flies without scenery addons or AI traffic (which means 6 GB less VRAM usage or so?).

Interesting, from this and other forums people are having very different experiences. Some say it's barely playable due to performance, others say it's great. Not sure what to make out of that, except for that I will wait a bit more

Yes that's actually why I implemented it in the first place - I like to do historical flights sometimes from the "good old" times and this really helps with immersion :) As for the request limit - we are currently still far away from the free tier limit, so I might take the info out for now or change it. Normally clicking 1x per flight per person is enough, as the second time would only create duplicate events. So no need to worry, just play around with it for a bit. The limit is a daily limit so at worst you are stopping the function for anybody else for 24h, but you're not making me pay something or so :) But as said, currently there's enough room to play around with it

After pasting the entire google AI output into the text box, press "request AI suggestions". Basically: - The first prompt (google AI e.g.) searches for real life / real world "live" events. That's what you put in the textbox. - The button then uses the internal AI to analyze the real life events, consider whether they would create a significant statistical outlier for the pax or cargo on this specific flight and - if so - generate proper "events" with the corresponding modifiers. Hope that makes it clear. I will see to make the UI a bit more clear there when I have time :) EDIT: You can also just click the button directly without any context in the textbox. It will still use the AI's knowledge, just not things like concerts or sports matches or current crisis (Iran), as the knowledge of the (internal) AI version is cutoff at the beginning of 2026 currently AFAIK.

I've implemented a simple save button which saves your aircraft type and seat configuration as default for the next start. Is that good? Or did you need something else saved too?

They sold their external model to FSS, that's all.. So FSS couldn't even do that by themselves.

Just to understand - you turn off the packs in the Synaptic A220 in-flight and nothing happens? The ECAM still shows the packs running?

Hi, by "profile" you mean remembering your settings, so e.g. if you always fly the same airline and/or type etc., keep those values set for the next start? If so, I'll add it to the backlog. I won't do any login/registration stuff, I want to keep it as accessible and easy to use as possible, but I think I can work something out with the local storage in the browser.

Hey, glad you like it! Yes I've seen the suggestion and added it to the backlog. I still have to think about that for a bit longer. I'm not even sure if there's any actual seat (leg room, entertainment system etc.) difference for Premium Economy vs Economy, I always felt like it's "Economy plus a bit more service (meals etc.)", but the same seat. Am I wrong?

I've added some default values for all types, so it has some solid numbers for every type even one does not change the capacity. And yes AI did come in very handy for that. If you want the exact numbers for your livery / registration, go look it up on airfleets.net for each flight. They vary wildly. E.g. right now in the sim I'm flying an A35K with 480 (!) seats, all economy, Air Caraibes. The ini A35K itself stops at 367 pax maximum :D

You need to adjust the seat capacity manually. There's just so many different variants and class distributions out there (even within one airline and one aircraft variant!), I just look up my airline and aircraft or registration on e.g. airfleets.net and they've usually got the exact seat setup there. Or sometimes I just ask AI. However I think you've got a point; I will see to add some default seat setup for all models.

Alright guys, I did some substantial logic and UI rework and added quite some features from the backlog over the last couple of weeks. I feel it's in a very good state now and I love how it gives me very plausible numbers for my flights. The backlog is now rather empty. I've got two bigger features left in the backlog (Simbrief Integration and Final Loadsheet), but I'm not yet sure whether (and how) to do that. Not sure what kind of videos you are watching, but "realistic" turbulence is far from realistic. This is the general consensus basically, most prominently among real pilots. Put it on low and then use only ActiveSky or RealTurb for some decent (!) turbulence effects at the right time and place (e.g. cloud turbulence). And always keep in mind that "on rail" is mostly correct for airliners in turbulence as far as you can get at home (missing the "feel" element)

Not worth purchasing. Not getting better either overall IMO. One step forward, two steps back. The custom autopilot has just as many bugs as before or even more. You cannot edit any restrictions on the legs page or the managed speed mode will go corrupt. Oh and on top it seems to now WASM crash more than the A350 at the beginning. The funny thing is - the current version is the release candidate for version 1.0 - in other companies it would be called an alpha version at best. And this thing has been out for like 3 years...

We've all been there, done that. Flight simming is all about quality time. If you don't have much time for simming, only fly those aircraft that actually are worth it. These days - unless it's something safe like Fenix Neos or PMDG 747 - I will not buy any more addons unless all reports coming in make it sound like it could actually be better than one of the aircraft I already fly regularly. I do have a couple of hours for simming almost every night, as it's my only hobby, so I do have a couple more aircraft I use regularly. Fenix, PMDG, iFly and the A350. Even then I e.g. use the PMDG 777 maybe once or twice only a week. Now imagine I'd only have one day a week to fly - I'd have to cut that list down to 1-2 aircraft. So tldr: Whenever something new comes out, just think "It's not going to be as good as what I already have, so I will not buy it." If that turns out wrong, you'll (happily) find out soon enough. If not - saved some money and even more important precious simming time.

You mean the exact distribution of pallets etc.? Hm yeah that would currently be a bit above the focus; can you even load the cargo that precisely in the FF 777? What I do have at the moment is a simple, slightly randomized load distribution info (below the total payload section), so you can spread the weights between FWD & AFT + [if applicable] MAIN DECK & BULK. That will give a bit of variance in regards to the CG% you have in your flights (and consequently the trim settings). It also recognizes some airline-type-specific load tendencies (e.g. [U]LCCs filling one hold completely first before using the other one, to save turnaround time etc.).

It's a website, no need to download. As for your question: You would use RPC (Realistic Pax & Cargo) during (or before) your Simbrief flight planning and enter the pax number and payload from there into Simbrief. Then the rest as usual - the iFly will consequently get those pax number and payload from the Simbrief import. So RPC -> Simbrief -> flight sim is the work flow.

Yeah well but this time it's not AI slop, but made by a fellow Avsimmer of yours - me ;) So what is is about: A thing that annoyed me for years was that the pax numbers and additional cargo you get from Simbrief (or several other VAs I've tried) were totally random and more often than not did not fit the "narrative" of my flight (e.g. a holiday charter 737 at the start of the local holidays filled up to the takeoff performance limits, a 777 freighter out of Hong Kong carrying lots and lots of low-priced Asian products, an A320 city-to-city with mostly business people with a small laptop as hand baggage etc.). I therefore build myself a PC app half a year ago which would create fitting passenger numbers and baggage and additional cargo weights that fit the narrative of my flights. While I was at it I even added some other things that could create some sort of story background for the flight, like a simple MEL system and a turnaround time generator (with e.g. random slot delays). Then two weeks ago I thought that might be something that other simmers might be interested in, so I thought I should share it and that's what I did. For most people switching from Jeppesen to LIDO (including myself) it was: At the start: Ugh, so many colors, too many things put onto a single chart After some time: Oh actually a lot of the important info is presented in a much better and clearer way! I find the approach and ground charts vastly superior with LIDO, like leaps and bounds. SIDs/STARs I like Jeppesen a bit more, but only slightly.
