Well, I guess we’ll have to stop using SayIntentions and other similar AI-powered applications too, then. Where exactly do we draw the line? I was simply sharing an enjoyable way to add realism to flight simulation, nothing more.

I think I've found the perfect combination to take the realism of flying the Fenix Airbus to another level: Fenix TechLog + ChatGPT acting as my airline's Maintenance Control Center (MCC). I've set up a dedicated ChatGPT conversation where it acts as the MCC engineer for whichever airline I'm currently flying for, while I take the role of the captain. Whenever Fenix TechLog reports a defect, I contact the MCC just as a real pilot would. ChatGPT assesses the problem, checks the relevant MEL considerations, evaluates operational implications and advises whether the aircraft should be dispatched, repaired immediately or have maintenance scheduled for a later stop. What makes this particularly interesting is that an aircraft being technically dispatchable under the MEL doesn't necessarily mean dispatching it is the best operational decision. For example, several individually acceptable deferred defects may collectively create operational concerns. ChatGPT considers the overall technical condition of the aircraft rather than simply treating every GO-MEL item as an automatic green light. I can also send it screenshots of Fenix TechLog, photographs of aircraft systems or ECAM messages to help with troubleshooting and maintenance decisions. We even discuss realistic maintenance planning, defect deferrals and when it makes sense to ground the aircraft until repairs are completed. The actual repairs are then carried out through Fenix TechLog. The result is a surprisingly immersive captain–MCC interaction that adds a whole new dimension to operating the Fenix Airbus. Of course, ChatGPT isn't a certified maintenance engineer and its MEL interpretations aren't always perfect, but as a simulation and role-playing tool, I'm finding this combination extremely enjoyable. If you're already using Fenix TechLog, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I've installed the 0.8.1 update. Thanks for adding the maintenance profiles! I've set my aircraft to Well Maintained, but the cabins still show a lot of wear, especially the seats. I even deleted and recreated an aircraft as Used, selecting Well Maintained from the start, but most seats still appeared heavily worn, with several existing defects. Is there a way to start with an aircraft's realistic age, hours and cycles, but with a cabin in better condition, as you'd expect from a well-maintained airline? Perhaps a cabin refurbishment option? Thanks again for the update!

I think it would be better to have selectable maintenance profiles (Well Maintained, Standard, Aging Fleet) rather than linking maintenance quality to specific airlines. An older aircraft can still be very well maintained, and this would give users more flexibility when creating used aircraft in TechLog.

@NaughtyPickle Thank you so much for sharing this amazing app. I have two suggestions: 1. Airline-managed maintenance mode: An optional mode where routine and preventive maintenance is handled automatically between flights. MEL defects would remain active, while NO-GO failures would require the user to request repairs. This would let us focus on the pilot's responsibilities rather than acting as maintenance engineers, while keeping the realism of dealing with aircraft defects 2. Precise failure frequency control: Allow users to set a specific average frequency for random in-flight failures (e.g., one every 10, 25, 50 or 100 flight hours), independently of aircraft age and component wear, while keeping failures unpredictable. Thanks again for your great work!

I understand there are people who don't want to pay for an add-on that essentially improves the GSX voices. I bought it and after 1 flight I'm happy with it; with Cockpit2ground GSX is more realistic. It's not perfect, but it's a clear improvement.

GSX (all versions) NEW: Push-in to Park (Tail-in parking). Gates can now be configured for tail-in parking, where a tug pushes the aircraft backward into the gate. Dual-use gates offer a Nose-In / Tail-In choice when selecting a parking position. All ground services work correctly with tail-in parked aircraft, including mirrored vehicle positions and automatic skip of departure pushback. That's what I was looking for. Fantastic!!

With this update, can you now pushback correctly to park at airports like Dortmund?

Same for me yesterday, departure from EBBR to LFPO and lots of stutters.

Disabled for me. No need to have PG ON when flying airliners.
