Hopefully the Q200/Q300 is a huge success for them and they are enticed to do the Q400 next.

Pretty excited for this one, lots of great regional and remote flying opportunities with the Dash 8, even if it’s not a Q400. Air Nova and Air Atlantic used to fly a bunch of short, 30 minutes or shorter routes with these in my neck of the woods that aren’t flown any longer…hope they are included in the repaints.

I think for me it’s because I can’t really identify with a business jet. Have never been on one, probably never will. Airliners for me fill the spot. Having said that, this sounds like a cool project and may get added to my hangar of quality business jets that I don’t fly often enough 😁

The auto frame generation mode is great, between that and 6x FG I’m staying largely at 120fps without wasting extra resources going beyond my monitor’s refresh rate. A nice set and forget feature.

Has anyone bought the airport that can share any impressions?

Honestly, with the pace that other Boeing addons are being developed at (including, but not just PMDG), there's a chance for INI to beat some to market. A 737-200 also comes to mind.

The Winwing one is certainly an upgrade, but I’ll always caution people to have eyes wide open on how bad your experience with that company can be if something goes wrong. It’s a good experience until it’s not. A sample of threads from the hardware forum here:

I hadn’t bothered upgrading my 2020 purchase until this was announced, made sense to pay the small fee to get v2 for “free”.

I’m sure this will be well done, but I do have to wonder why another biz jet ahead of the long awaited and in development E145. I can’t imagine this was much easier to do the systems modelling on etc.

I flew it for the first time in ages today with the update. Very nice flight, no issues. Whether it’s worth picking up depends on what you want. I’m not sure if there’s a discount / upgrade path from v1 to v2, but it is fun to fly.

The default airport building textures are immersion killers for sure. It’s odd, I would think that would be relatively easy for Asobo to improve on. They can be generic, be could be a much more feasible generic that would suit most GA airfields at least. I do remember running msfs2020 all generic in the early days before we had addons and was so blown away by it that I could look past the deficiencies. I was also flying almost only GA then, exploring this new wonderful virtual world while waiting for Airliners and their airports to develop.

Any idea if these updates have made it to the marketplace? I think that’s where I bought this one.

This is my view exactly. I have no problem paying extra for the service when it’s warranted, but not as a standing monthly fee regardless of how much I do or don’t use it. Summer simming is relatively rare for me unless it’s raining out, I try to spend as much of our short summers outdoors as possible.

It really is. I flew YYZ-YXE last night and performance was great, right inline with other detailed addons. Hopefully they can figure out why it’s so poor for some people.

I do recall during the 2024 total eclipse people were able to see the effects, though if I recall correctly you don’t get the cool corona effect visually, I think it’s more just the light level dropping and you see a chunk of the sun missing.

Does this include a Croatian Air Force repaint? I need another fighter jet like I need a punch in the face, but this one sounds pretty awesome and after visiting Croatia a few years back I have a real soft spot for that country…I could see myself buzzing around the beautiful scenery and mountains in this.

I did two Air Baltic flights today, using two very nice flag inspired repaints from flightsim.to. The more I fly this aircraft and get used to its quirks the more I love it. Certainly some bugs to be squashed but not enough to get in the way of a nice afternoon of flightsimming. As an aside, I bought two Air Baltic hub/focus airports on sale 40% off at Contrail, Riga and Tallinn. Both very well done and will be excellent A220 destinations.

See I’m a plane AND train nerd so I’m good either way 😀 Maybe not right next to one though. I’ve always had a soft spot for the 767, I remember flying on one as a kid in the 80s when they were new to Air Canada (would have been a -200), so spacious for the time! I loved the Level D 767 and would love even more to see one in MSFS.

Same here, last night it told me my landing distance was a comically large number (I think 27,000 feet roughly). I know it was 36 degrees C at FLL, but that’s excessive 😁
